DAILY DEBATE: What is the key to the game against FSU?

Control line of scrimmage on both sides. Giving no time for Castellanos.

Ground and pound.

For me is proving we are really for real. The good and foreal FSU teams always made it look that way against us and UF.

Many feel this is the best overall team we’ve had in over 20 years.

Come out and leave no answers unanswered..

Dominate from start to finish.

The captain obvious ones are don’t turn it over … stop with the stupid false starts and silly penalties .. and contain the qb .. fsu offense is nothing but eye candy shi t

Stop the run outside the tackles. Can we stop those outside zone runs, reverses, quick screens, swing pass to the rb. I think if we win this game, Lightfoot will be mentioned for player of the game.

Don’t get into a shootout with a team who has a dynamic running qb.

You want to be up big and have the stress and desperation on their offense and not our defense.

The run game, and our defensive line.

If the run game does what its supposed to do, it takes a lot of pressure off of Beck. If our defensive line can penetrate and start punishing their QB, he's gonna get ants in his pants and make bad throws.

I am perfectly content with something like a 20-6 score. I want us to pound them into the dust with the running game, control the clock, and just absolutely force FSU to throw the football from behind, get them to three and outs, just grind them out and start tearing holes in their defense by the third quarter.

But also, we need to limit penalties. Don't let them have our players do dumb crap because its an emotionally charged game. Not in Tallahassee.

Our running game

Stop their running game

No turnovers and limit the penalties

Win on special teams

1. Don't give up any cheap TDs

2. Dawson leans on the running game

3. Beck hits open receivers/doesn't force throws

Ohio State vs. Washington was the blueprint. Buckeyes stuck with their gameplan regradless of the first half, then evetually suffocated a less talented/physical opponent

Tfl and sacks. That's it. If we keep them in 3rd and long all night, they're done. They're going to go for it on 4th. We need to make them afraid to try it.

Also important not to get beat deep. We're obviously going to take away the run. They're going to test us deep. They won't have any other choice.

No fumbles. No interceptions. No muffed punts. Don't give them possessions.
