DAILY DEBATE: What conference do you want Miami to join?

I would imagine you’d know this story by now but basically, they barely gave us any product, short changed us at every opportunity and their uniforms sucked towards the end. Adidas has been much better to us and has paid us a lot more.

I do know the story, & I can tell u ur “facts” r actually not correct at all. I’ve actually explained this thoroughly, including breaking down contract options, one of which is a Nike sponsored University have the opportunity to convert uniforms into cash, meaning it will limit uniform supply in exchange for cash consideration. Guess what the school did?

Secondly, when our University received the 2nd most apparel from Nike behind Oregon, I would hardly call that “treating us unfair.” Now, u can gripe about designs and I get that, just like I hate a lot of Nike’s City Connect concepts for MLB, but the two are not mutually exclusive.

U said Adidas are treating us better, how so? Is it because they paid us more in 2015? Or
-Is it because they immediately reneged on our contract on what it meant to be their “flagship” school of the ACC in which an outsider had to alert Blake James of the discrepancy in language?
-Is it b/c they provided us w/ recycled plastic waste material?
-Is it b/c they had us in a FBI probe, affecting recruiting?
-Is it b/c they did not include us in their Adidas 6?
-Is it b/c of the lack of royalties on sold merchandise?
-Is it the mismatch uniforms we’ve been given?
-Is it the neon orange & neon green uniforms that dropped for us?
-Is it the use of our Adidas domain to sell other Adidas branded schools items?
-Is it b/c they didn’t provide us w/ a NIL partnership like they did w/ Washington & Louisville?
-Is it b/c we keep having players in our cleats they continually have these freak foot incidents?

Let me know how we’ve been treated better, bro.

Here’s what’s funny: every single new tech that Nike came out w/, whether u agree w/ the design or not is of no consequence to the next statement: WE WERE ALWAYS THE FIRST SCHOOL TO DEBUT IT. To me, that doesn’t sound like we were treated “poor.”

They treated us like a redheaded stepchild! F them and Adidas is a far superior product.

They treated us like a program who put football 5,342,342 on their list of priorities. Like I said...we did it to ourselves. Times are thankfully better now and we hopefully will become a more desirable product moving forward.

Adidas is superior when it comes to soccer cleats but that’s about it

& to be frank, they r losing ground here, as well. Their revolutionary Predator Boot from 1994 is still the #1 boot, but per many futbol boot reviews from the 2023 season, Nike now occupies 4 of the top 10 boots (#2, #3, #6, #7), while Adidas only occupies 2 now (#1, #4)

Oh wow I didn’t know Nike closed the gap. My daughter played travel soccer and Adidas was the go to sponsor. Thanks for that info

No doubt; yeah my boy is a tester for Nike. They’ve turned up their tech, particularly on their boots. Adidas is still the leader, but yeah, Nike is moving on their *** fast (pause).

B1G. Especially if ND eventually joins.
The next 4-6 weeks should be interesting given the timeline that FSU is "expected" to make an announcement. Rumors are starting to fly like crazy and that should get "more active" in the coming weeks. Rumors like " A&M to the Big 10", "ND doing a scheduling arrangement with the Big 10". Etc.

Actually ND can easily schedule 5 games a season with the Big 10 without even impacting their ACC deal, or, they can bail from the ACC with football, and establish a scheduling deal with both the Big 10 and SEC for 5 games each, and still have two "open games" for traditional opponents like Navy. Our good "buddy" Genetics is pushing for ND, FSU & UNC as a "coup" for the Big 10. Fully expect some sort of INITIAL clarification prior to August 15. Then we will see how Miami reacts.
