DAILY DEBATE: What conference do you want Miami to join?

Out of curiosity why Big 12 before Big 10? I'm out here in B12 country. To me B12 seems ACC 2.0 for real, if not a step below.

I'd like to see the U end up Big 10.
being in big 12 country which is what texas area....like arizona teams and an already formar rival in WVU and ability to create one with ucf and the colorado game if prime still there would be cool (i doubt it)

I have no interest in attending ANY games in the BIG 10 away games save for LA teams.

MY CHOICE WAS TO STAY ACC.

That being said unlike everyone else.....I dont care about conference power considering do u even remember what conference we were in when we won our last mnc? and did it matter?.

UM is one of the schools that it wont matter what conference we are in if we are undefeated.

Bro, I hadn’t thought of it like this before but you may be right. Do we even need to additional tv revenue, when juxtaposed with the university funding that is 3-4x of our direct rivals.

Go big on nil and **** it.

I understand your thoughts but it’s sure starting to feel like it’s the P2 and everyone else. If we’re not in one of the P2 then it would be that much more difficult to compete for the top talent that would be required to get us to another NC unless Mario’s NIL budget is like $50 mil per season.

I think big12 if they can hang in there and make it a big 3 when the acc falls but idk man. Rather big 10 if I’m choosing between the P2

You are TOTALLY missing the big picture. This isn't about "which conference" your team plays in. It is ALL about how much VISIBILITY, TV air time, and viewership your program will be getting as the P2 (Big 10 & SEC) move to dominating national broadcasts ... not just prime time ... but all slots. Non P2 conference games will be available only on regional streaming apps. That is commencing this Fall when the B10 introduces "Friday Night Football" ... at least 9 Friday night games will be Big 10 games on Friday nights ... taking that air time away from the ACC / B12 and other conferences that normally had games broadcast on Friday.

The P2 objective is to PROGRAM more big time games to attract viewers and enhance the value of the commercial spots for those games. The result is going to be much richer media contracts the next time around (2030) when the P2 both renew their media agreements. THEN the media payout gap between the P2 and "others" will be at least $100 Million per year. THEN it is going to be almost unheard of to have a 4-5 star player committing to any program OUTSIDE of the P2 ... as that is where the visibility and money will be. You have missed the core aspects of what is driving "realignment" period.

Think Big 10 is a better fit but selfishly would want SEC for two reasons.
1 - makes the Gaytes have to play us.
2 - Easier travel for the team/less cold weather games.
