DAILY DEBATE: What are your expectations for TVD at Wisconsin?

TVD was night and day after GT sat back and dropped 8 into coverage. Hard to say if TVD was just too far gone, or if Dawson really could have done more to make him feel comfortable and attack that approach.

In the beginning of the year at least, Canes will lowkey be watching out for him to get a feel for what we really have here, the same way they watched Kirby Smart at UGA in the beginning of the Richt era.
Yeah, what if Dawson went 5 wide, or 4 wide and leaked the RB out of the backfield against drop-8?

TVD is what he is. He's not the second coming of Tom Brady. You set up the offense to play to his strengths. He is not the kind of player you try to fit into your scheme.

Again, he is what he is. A top 35% CFB QB. Playing with cracked ribs, torn ligaments on his throwing fingers, and the skin and muscle separated on his leg, all in a scheme that only ever has 3 WRs on the field isn't a recipe for success.

I will be following his play at Wisconsin bc I want to see if it was schematic issues, player issues or maybe both.

And you know **** well, there's a chance we play them in a Bowl Game.

Didn't TVD himself say he doesn't like to analyze on the field and would rather be told where to go with the ball at all times? Thats my biggest issue with him is the fact he literally confesses he doesn't know how to read a defense...

First, I think Wisconsin had needs almost everywhere across their O. I know they got a WR from Michigan St and TVD. I really like their OC and QB coach Longo. I would expect him to be good for TVD. I like Fickell and Longo together. I expect them to be better than last season. I think they won 7 games. Congrats on them getting a commit from T Y Hilton's son, Eugene.

It’s the normal let down reaction to previous hype. Extremes always beget extremes. Hype will always illicit Hate if the hype was not fulfilled or justified. Dudes feel embarrassed by TVDs failure because they made his success personal and beyond the team. Not every player, especially not the leader, can negotiate and flirt with another team in the offseason and use those negotiations to demand a NIL raise with our team and it not be held against him by the majority of our fanbase. That’s the definition of Slurping. Slurping is not a 12-0 post or being hyper optimistic about our team’s outlook. That’s called being a fan. Slurping is putting a person/personality over the best interests of the entire group/team/program and changing reality for him.

The last example was Tate Martell on a lesser degree but the more accurate one would be Al Golden, his weekend disappearance to flirt with Pedo State and his using “the cloud” to force a contract extension and raise after one season. All swept under the rug because some of us sainted him and put his best interests over the team and attached themselves (their fan hood) to him personally.

That is why till this day, people still check in on Golden and some will even slyly and quickly defend or excuse his tenure here and then get out of dodge 💨 fast. Testing whether we will collectively change history or reality as they have.

I rewatched aTm game yesterday. TVD carved them up. His only incompletions in the first half were drops. It’s a shame how the wheels came off later in the season.

What happens if we face TVD in a bowl game? Does he have the best game of his career like every other Wisc qb we face?

It's like when people complain about Russian hooker ads showing up on their computer.

I post these Daily Debates based on what I see people talking about. If an interesting question pops up in my head that is out of left field, I'll post that, too. But the article about TVD in the Wisconsin scrimmage was sent to every single Canes group chat I'm in. Canes fans seem to care.
So how are people getting these Russian hooker ads. I mean, can you please give the steps?

Then we were either really wrong about TVD and Wisconsin is good again or we were really wrong about Mario and we continue to suck.
