DAILY DEBATE: What’s your biggest takeaway from the FAMU game?

I love how we aren’t just having dudes sit around and just collect dust on the bench anymore. I’m seeing guys I forgot was even on the roster, contributing and providing impact.

I love how it seems like this staff is getting the best out of everyone.

Speaking to only what I saw yesterday, Cam Ward is easily one of the best decisions makers I’ve seen at the college level. Healthy, skys the limit with H1M!

Also, shout out to FAMU, they looked pretty good in the 1st half. Obviously, they don’t have the talent and size to compete with our scoring. But they played really hard and and provided a good challenge to our guys..

Killa Cam is healthy
We have those championship DTs in the team already… DL will be Elite in years to come
LB group is TALENTED
Patterson at Safety will be a force
Sam Brown will be alright ..give him a couple more weeks

We gotta get more push in the run game and man Horton has to clean up his concentration drops and **** man why my dawg George not getting the pill consistently but overall excited about the team just a few things we gotta clean up in my opinion

My biggest observation was that we used it as a glorified scrimmage - we haven't been good enough to do that for a long time.

We did what we wanted for the first two drives of the first half and the first drive after half time, then HEAVILY rotated to see what we had with the younger guys.

My biggest takeaway was, in the future we need to find a way to do away with these games altogether & just schedule another G5 team.

Complete waste of time IMO.
You’re not wrong, but I do see some value in getting the volume of young guys some reps and I liked seeing them in action, even though the reps weren’t as meaningful as they could be.

We are a deep team at WR, DL, and maybe even LB.
Sam Brown is a rotational receiver.
Bell needs work.
Lyle is way ahead of schedule.

- 2nd stringers were rotated in early and often which is really good for reps + confidence
- We have real depth at a lot of positions, especially RB, TE and DLine
- I thought they kept Cam in for one too many offensive series
- Put Cam in bubble wrap because there is a massive drop off at QB after him, although Poffenbarger can run it well
