DAILY DEBATE: How will this affect LeBron's legacy?

He'll always be viewed in legacy sports media as probably the greatest basketball player of all time, a larger than life figure that redefined the sport.

In real life he's been a player/GM since 2014 who leveraged his power to put himself into the best possible position whenever possible.

And done mostly jack **** with that position. Supposedly best player, and surrounds himself with all stars, and still can’t even make the playoffs most of the time. Over****ingrated.

Not the greatest player of all time... Not..at...all...

At 39 years old to still be one of the strongest, fastest players in the league is something we have never seen. Lebron is a physical anomaly in a sport full of them. He was clearly the leader of Team USA. And other than Steph in the last 2 games, Lebron was the best player, and deserving of the MVP. He can easily play to the age of 45 if he chooses to play point guard. The Lebron of today has a similar skill set to Magic Johnson in terms of his passing and size.

If I had to pick a player for 1 game, or even 1 season, I pick MJ every single time.
If I had to pick the greatest career of all-time, I pick Lebron. He will own the NBA record book. And longevity counts because it speaks to the athlete’s dedication to keep their body in great condition.

top 2 most physically talented players ever. I'm to young to have seen Wilt but there are some old timers I trust on that one....Lebron also has a really high bball IQ not just gifted athletically. What he is doing at his age is impressive. But at this point its just adding to career stats. If you take away the covid which no fault of his own was just a really pointless season. So since the sweep by the warriors in the finals he hasnt done much despite basically building the teams he wants.

There are probably 5-6 guys I'd take before him if I wanted to start a team and win and that is assuming they are given the same training and adjust to this era. But I do look forward to JJ Redick putting his son in the starting line up...probably by mid season. That will be a fun storyline.

At times he seems like a nice guy, has stayed pretty clean. Good Father. But at other times he comes off douchey. Playing to the camera. The flopping when he doesnt even get grazed. But maybe he has people telling him to do certain things.

Its like Noah Lyles. He just screams douche to me. The act after losing the 200 despite the show he put on during being announced. Then out at the club apparently feeling fine.

Physical freak & among the greatest players of all-time . . . but also an all-world self promoter & marketing marvel.

He is clear #2 all time. I hear the arguments for greatest career but MJs peak will never be topped he came into the league and dominated, people that only point to the 6rimgs almost short change his other accolades because you can take rings out and still prove mj to be the goat

This right here!! People have looked at the 6 rings as the gold standard and debate ending argument and it’s actually watered down his career achievements. His stats were so ridiculous that even if he quit before he won a ring he would be talked about as one of the greats.
I’m 53 and in my lifetime I’ve never seen an athlete in any sport strike more fear to an opponent than mj. Maybe Tyson but that was only a few years.

Just look at the season when he played point guard for a while.
