DAILY DEBATE: How will this affect LeBron's legacy?

He is clear #2 all time. I hear the arguments for greatest career but MJs peak will never be topped he came into the league and dominated, people that only point to the 6rimgs almost short change his other accolades because you can take rings out and still prove mj to be the goat
Let’s hear some top 5s people have. I’ll start.
#1. MJ - obviously Jordan is 1
#2. LBJ - I don’t like putting him here but can’t say he isn’t. (Kobe guy)
#3. Magic- Bird rivalry
#4. Bird- Magic rivalry. Bird/Magic saved the nba and elevated it to where Jordan made it explode
#5. Shaq- most dominant player in history arguably. If he could just shoot a free throw haha

At 39 years old to still be one of the strongest, fastest players in the league is something we have never seen. Lebron is a physical anomaly in a sport full of them. He was clearly the leader of Team USA. And other than Steph in the last 2 games, Lebron was the best player, and deserving of the MVP. He can easily play to the age of 45 if he chooses to play point guard. The Lebron of today has a similar skill set to Magic Johnson in terms of his passing and size.

If I had to pick a player for 1 game, or even 1 season, I pick MJ every single time.
If I had to pick the greatest career of all-time, I pick Lebron. He will own the NBA record book. And longevity counts because it speaks to the athlete’s dedication to keep their body in great condition.
4-6 losing record in the finals and Ray Allen saved him from being 3-7 in the finals. I’ll never forget how badly he choked in the 2011 finals vs the Mavs. Totally shrunk and disappeared! He can never surpass MJ but based on his career stats and longevity I would have to put him 2nd all time even though I don’t like him.

I think this is all very fair. LBJ’s failures have to be taken into account. He was also bad against Boston in his final season with the Cavs (1st time) when it was clear he was leaving. He basically stopped playing.
But he has still made it to the Finals 11 times, which alone counts for a lot as most players don’t even reach 1 NBA finals in a career.

I’m willing to give him #2 all time status as well. But Bill Russell and Wilt may be upstairs disagreeing with both of us.

What a prick move to blow off the little kid like that. Then to proceed to dance few seconds later.
Those clips are done wit no context to cause those type of reactions.. think it's the same kid who live stream and his dad send him to get autograph to sell..

There are a couple funny videos from athletes rejecting those type of kids and parents who try to sell but this was probably done to set up narrative that people have to do outrage marketing..

LeBron doesn't have that track record but expecting athletes to be "on" 24/7 is not possible..

Good points, but.....MJ won 6 championships, and might have been 8 if he hadnt "retired".

Especially Bill Russell. He gets left out of the GOAT talk a lot. Different era but he averaged like 15 pts and 22 RPG in the regular seasons and elevated to 16PPG and 25RPG in playoffs. Oh, and did I mention that he won 11 'ships?

Longevity means nothing....if it did why not giving Kobe and Kareem more credit. NO ONE DID WHAT MJ did to change the game. LBJ or no one else would have the shoe deals they have today if it wasn't for MJ. There would not be a world that plays basketball if it wasn't not for MJ. The reason the world is catching up to the US in basketball is because MJ was so iconic!! LBJ needs to compared to those 2 mentioned above. MJ is on a level all it's own.
