DAILY DEBATE: How many first rounders does Miami have on its roster?

Didn’t think I had to specify in detail playing ability. 🤨. But I did say “if he takes the next step” and also let’s not talk about playing ability when Shemar Stewart and his 4 career sacks went #15. NFL still gone NFL when it comes to freaks like Bell. Just an observation.
He needs to take more than a next step. He needs to be dominant to be drafted in the first round. Being big is not going to bridge the gap if he is ok-good.

If Bain slid inside to DT, he has Calijah Kancey potential but he doesn’t want to too.

He doesn’t have the measurable and speed to be an elite NFL pass rusher at DE

Mauigoa for sure

Beck if he has a great year

Lucas, OJ, Scott are all young guys on D who have potential but need to keep putting it together

Maybe JoJo trader too

Lol! @ having to be dominant to go in the 1st round! Did you watch the draft? Half the guys selected I absolutely would not consider “dominant”.

With the JUCO rules Bell still has 2 years of eligibility correct? Maybe next year it will be a different conversation

I didn’t even do it on purpose but I picked the guys that were pretty much ranked the highest on the team given recruit rankings are based on NFL potential

Hopefully we have another one to add to the list before the spring portal is over

I'm talking about LT. If you want to debate other positions wait until someone comments on those.

The rule was implemented fot those with eligibility that ended in 2024 on the basis of not having enough time to reach a verdict. The rule doesn't have any impact on him unless it's extended or made permanent.

And for the record, I didnt say he was a definite 1st round pick. I said Im not in the boat of the posters who absolutely think he will not be one based on "XYZ". He has a **** good shot. When your 6'8 340 with long arms and can move..Scouts are going to pay close attention. And "yes" I based it on not seeing many physical specimans at OT in this years draft like we normally do. Bell is absolutely a physical specimen/freak. Now if he can put it all together is another story.

For the record being 6'8 340lbs only matters if accompanied by 1st or 2nd team All-...

Blake Brockermeyer (our Centers dad) has Carson Beck going 4th and Francis Mauigoa going 21st

Francis has the best chance as it stands right now. You all must be banking on Dawson to develop Beck because if Shedeur didn't go in the 1st what makes anyone think Beck would.

I have to remind myself some of our fans don't watch other teams/players when the draft rolls around. Performance is important but athleticism/intangibles is what really cements someone as a Day 1 pick and we don't have too many guys like that from the little I've heard/seen.

I know **** all about playing OL but I have some friends that are pretty good with it. Buddy of mine hit me up about Bell when we recruited him and said in a year or so he could be really good but it would take him a while

Was pretty surprised given our unimpeachable OL philosophy that he had to play before he was really ready but what do I know

You guys got some guts putting Bain on there after how yall were talking about him last year. Factoring in the propensity for thr NFL to do stupid things at certain positions:

Beck
Mauigoa

Then there’s:

Lowe
Scott (PLEASE LET THIS BE RIGHT)

Another one to keep an eye on would be SJ

I would say Lofton but I think he’s going right to Canton
If I’m projecting with guys who haven’t played or played much, Lowe is my best bet.

Between measurables and how 247and on3 randomly flipped on him and shot him up the rankings I’m very hopeful there
