Dade County HS Football....

I see Devin alot...he lives 10 miles from me...Does alot for Olympia HS.....Son is gonna be another Great one....

Awesome! Would be great to have another Hester in Orange and Green! Hopefully the coaching staff will be decent enough by then (not sure how old his son is). Hester became my favorite Cane from the date of the Cali-Florida game until he left and ST26 took over as my fav Cane ever!

Northwestern lost to Lowndes (GA) 48-21
Champagnat Catholic lost to Lowndes (GA) 44-14
Champagnat Catholic beat Christ Presbyterian (TN) 25 - 0

Edgewater, who plays St Thomas, lost to Marrieta (GA) 34-24

Your champions lost to out of state powers.

Hmmm
Champagnat lost to a school how much bigger than them?

It's easy to pick this year. It's not like this every year. I agree that SF coaching could be better.

Thanks for cherry picking Andrew.

What's next....Manny came in 2nd and 3rd for 10 recruits?

You cant make this stuff up

Dade schools have destroyed many out of state powers including in GA.

I’ve learned that high school results tend to vary wildly in these preseason classics. A lot of blowouts because teams are still developing.

Imagine not being able to recruit at high schools you coached at

It make it worse since he was "like a father" to the kids and they still wanted to get away from him. Michigan signs Partridge and he ends up getting landing them all 3 5 stars his high school has ever produced. We get Rumph and he can't get us any of the numerous elite kids his school has produced.

its even worse he didnt just coach them in high school..he had them since they were like 9 yrs old.

It hurts so bad that it’s funny

Actually you do. We've seen it time and time again in the state of Florida. It's athlete ball, and has been for years. When you hire guys from the neighborhood with zero coaching ability, or experience, that's the kind of product you will see. I remember having this conversation with some people on my floor freshman year at The U. They played ball at some of the local schools, we compared our HS playbooks for ***** and giggles. My run of the mill Texas 5A playbook looked like Ulysses compared to the basic crap they ran. Two of those kids had state championship rings.

South Florida produces some of the finest athletes in the nation, but when it comes to coaching, it's nonexistent. Some guys are so uniquely talented, they can rely on their natural talent until they learn. Those are the kids that Clemson, Alabama and other schools go out and buy. Miami on the other hand, has to develop the local kids for 1-2 years. Unfortunately, Miami hasn't had a teaching staff worth a **** in almost 20 years.
MNW played Cover-0 and Cover-1 the entire game Saturday afternoon. Fortunately the Jones OC has zero clue how to call plays versus man coverage.

Our champions lost to a bunch of private schools , who recruit a lot of their players , Miami central and northwestern are inner city public schools who get guys out of their own back yards to play for them.

Love the cherry picking on here, like South Florida teams haven't beaten OOS powers a hundred times before.

The OOS teams we play aren't void of talent. Y'all act like South Florida teams travel to play scrubs. These OOS teams often have just as much talent if not more...particularly up front. They also have the advantage of playing at home in front of thousands, better facilities, better coaching staffs, and overall better resources from top to bottom.

If you really think about it, South Florida teams have no business winning these games. They have every disadvantage. They win solely on talent and hunger, which says a lot about the kids.

Im at da state finals watching marcus fleming. He was the best player on the field. Transferred from another school to mnw. I watched central amari daniels transferred to central. So basically im like all the top kids just go join the best teams.
Amari Daniels originally played for central his freshman left for Miami Jackson cause his dad became the head coach
and then he went back to Miami central when his dad was fired

Cool story.

Champagnat a school in a shopping plaza scored 14 on Lowndes thats a win in itself. **** why is Champagnat even playing a Lowndes?. lol.

This is a very young MNW team...even with the 3 peat. They are starting a qb straight out of the 8th grade....and NO we dont have middle school football. He is coming from the optomist level ( played in my optomist porgram)and 135 pound ol...being thrown in to the varsity game in inner city miami and did his thing.

Every year fluctuates and i respect Lowndes program for years. The St Francis thig i dont know about much as its the first time i essentially heard of a Baltimore fb program worth a sh*t..but im guessing its similar to Dematha where they have ALLLLL the top area kids at that 1 school.

Off head Mnw, Central, BTW, Edison all split kids and are all schools within walking distance. Imagine if all those kids were at 1 school. SMH!

Way too many excuses & LMFAO @ the weak moral victory for Champagnant Catholic.

So we should award them a moral victory against Lownes County when they have a significant talent advantage against every single school in 2A? Really? 🤣🤣🤣🤣

so let’s feel sorry & make excuses for Miami teams that got smoked by out of state teams that recruit EXACTLY how the Miami schools do to the other schools in their area & the rest of the state? FOH

These same excuses are never afforded to other teams in the area, district, region, or state when they get smoked by south Florida schools. I mean never...

South Florida has 6 million freaking people. Ain’t no one buying all these **** excuses...they’ve had their fair share of out of state victories going back two decades but 2019 just wasn’t their year. Freaking own it already...enough with the excuses.

I see no lies

Washington DC metro (DC/MD/NOVA/Baltimore) area has as much talent as South Florida in football, but the talent is much more diverse (skilled guys, upfront, QBs, and athletes etc) they’ve got better training and nutrition, and the teams are much better coached. And that gives the DC metro area a big advantage over South Florida. The teams are just better.

Washington DC metro area >> South Florida in not only football, but all sports to include

Basketball
Baseball
soccer
Lacrosse
Wrestling
Swimming
Gymnastics

I cannot think of a single sport in which South Florida trumps the DC metro area. Not one
