Dabo calls out Ole Miss for tampering

As long as it doesn’t include a salary cap!!!!
The minute there is a cap is the minute the Sec goes back to the bag game to add what’s needed to get the players
Agreed 100%, but snatching kids out of class (by a HC) and having no recourse then, a whole new war will begin. Why not do it mid season before a game....is that what's next?

I think Dabo is coming out as a Coach who sees a massive problem with college sports right now. Something has to be done because the sport is ready to collapse as we know it.
I know people want to believe this, but the national championship game was the 2nd most watched sport event of the year and brought in over 30 million people. Thats largely due to the intriguing matchup. And that’s brought to you by the portal and NIL

Dabo might be the only coach in the country who can get in front of a mic and say these things because I genuinely believe him when he says he doesn't tamper.

Now... maybe that's why Clemson is down bad right now.
The Clemson model of relying almost exclusively on high school recruiting can work, but the margin for error is narrow.

The model breaks down if other teams start pilfering Clemson's roster and the Tigers don't use the portal in response. It's the same effect as an NCAA scholarship reduction at that point.

I've read every comment about Dabo and first of all I'm a staunch UM supporter and have been for 43 years since 1983. Been to 4 National Championship games, every wide left and wide right game, and bleed orage n green like many of you. This forum is to discuss differences and try to see other points of views. I do get many people here don't like Dabo. Yes, to some he can be very annoying and to others a breath of fresh air. I'm a Christian and do profess to love the Lord. I've seen several people here criitcize Dabo for his religious beliefs and what he says in the media. Well news flash, over the years we've had many Canes players profess their love for the Lord in the media including members of the current team. This backlash from some of you is absolutely alarming. Another thing is Dabo is 100% CORRECT calling out Pete Golding and I truly hope the NCAA does it's job and punishes Ole Miss SEVERELY for this blatant, disrepectful, and disregard for the laws n regulations set forth in college football. I ask everyone one of you if Malachi Toney or Mark Fletcher were not in the portal and a head coach emailed them WHILE IN CLASS to offer them more money how would all of you react? We know the answer to that so stop whinning and compalining about Dabo. Your logic does not make sense at all. Quite frankly the college football arena is in total disaray and needs a major fix ASAP. Hopefully this incident gets the NCAA and maybe our Government to move in the right direction to save college football from complete disaster. GO CANES and GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU!
Would never question someones faith but did lose respect for him after his public proclamation of faith while using a Church to funnel $ to players. I live in SC. It did happen no doubt

Nobody is criticizing anyone for their religious beliefs. Someone wants to show up to sit in a musty building on a weekend morning to watch a guy in a dress talk to his imaginary friend in the sky? No problem. It’s a free country and no judgment. To each his own.

In point of fact: They are criticizing Dabo for being a pathetic hypocrite, hiding behind a faux moral code while living a life that is ethically challenged.

Big distinction.

First off, if your out here calling someone a snitch, you were failed somewhere in life. If your parents didn't raise you right, that's just pitiful. If it's learned in your community, that's on your pathetic self.
Dabo is giving unbelievable detail here. How is that even possible unless he has the kids phone and literally writing this info down to repeat it? How did that happen? That doesn't make sense to me. If he didn't take the money and leave, I could believe it. I can't register both things happening. Dabo certainly doesn't have pure hands in his recruiting history to be doing this. At least it appears they aren't going to court. I just don't see the point in this. He's gone. It's not right, but it is college football today. This is on the player. What does this change,? I think Dabo comes out looking bad because he knows it isn't changing things. It sucks for sure.

Time for us to go get us some players out of class, **** that.. We need OL, TE, LB,
You can still commit tortious interference with a prospective business relationship. You have to show improper means, among other things. Usually that’s conduct that is independently unlawful. Not sure if a violation of NCAA rules would satisfy that, but it’s arguable.

This whole story is comedy and as others have mentioned the level of detail Dabo went into is going to beg Ole Miss pop’d but this is the game

I'm fully aware that the game was the second most watched sporting event for the year. That doesn't have anything to do with the financial ramifications of the sport at the present moment. The amount of money being spent on players cannot contimue at this pace. Also, many teams will not be able to compete. This is unsustainable and the sport will explode.
