glad he called out tampering...but he was cheating for over a decade and acting like he had no clue...how else u think clemson stock piled thir early talent and kept guys coming back for sr szns with draft grades lol

The sport is certainly facing challenges, but it's really because a bunch of mid-major athletic departments with no tradition are heavily leveraged in a vain attempt to get in on the action. We have middle managers from Des Moines sneaking off from their families to take credit card cash advances so they can play craps at 4:00 AM at the Bellagio.

Dabo is a sanctimonious prick. Worse still, he's the biggest hypocrite in the sport. Hopefully he tanks Clemson before he becomes indignant enough to resign in disgrace.

You have a reading comprehension problem. I never criticized Saban or Dabo for their salaries. Put on your bifocals and read what I wrote.

All I can say is you may want to read about Dabo's life story and what he has accomplished. It's very impressive to say the least and I see a ton of ignorance here about Dabo. I certainly dislike Clemson just as much as anyone here and have seen them play UM a few times at Death Valley. Did he cheat? I'm guessing and to say yes but so did we and a host of other Universities. He is 100% about what's happening to college football and something has to change drastically. Your screen name fits you well .

Admittedly, I will not read Dabo's book, however I am curious as to the parts of his life that you find to be inspiring and admirable. What about his actions as a college football coach stand out as an individual that cares about the future of the game and not just the self preservation of his job or his legacy? I am asking because he has not offered any forward thinking to help move the game forward, instead it is all backwards to the way it used to be, to preserve "our way, our culture". From the outside, it seems self serving and selfish.

Dabo is Mike Gundy east of the Mississippi.

Should’ve seen decline coming last year.

Outgoing class (as in seniors in 24/ACC ship
season) had a blue chip ratio of 95%. 18/19 signed Tigers were blue chips.

Incoming class (FR in 25, replacing seniors) 47%. Only 7/15 signed Tigers last cycle were blue chips.

Lots of in between there to explain their 7-6 record but that’s startling, especially when you’re a program that does not embrace the portal.

Now you’ve lost five starters that are Top 100 draft picks and you’re leading INT guy to the portal.

They may still go 8-4 but this program is toast.

Modern day CFB has left you in the dust, Dabo.

* A coach making 10M while his players get paid 10-50k illegally because Emmett is willing to look the other way is exploitative

I didn't "cleverly" redact anything b/c the second half of your sentence wasn't what our original argument was about (how much coaches are paid) but thanks for highlighting that you should change your handle to ILoveMamdani b/c what you are crying about is called socialism.

The coach/CEO doesn't give a flying **** about how much the players/employees are being paid. The coach/CEO is being paid $10M b/c they run a $200M/200+ employee business that makes $50M+ .... the CEO of Walmart's job is to make money (ie: win) regardless of how much the cashier in Tulsa makes. The coach of San Diego State makes less salary b/c SDSU makes less money .... it has nothing to do with the players compensation.

You missed the point. I didn't say players shouldn't be paid.

I said *****ing at coaches making $5-10M is silly. They run $200M+ businesses and make a lot of money for the athletic departments.

You and the OP can't seem to separate the idea that coaches get paid what they deserve b/c they are CEOs and it's irrelevant to players getting paid.
