Dabo calls out Ole Miss for tampering

You missed the point. I didn't say players shouldn't be paid.

I said *****ing at coaches making $5-10M is silly. They run $200M+ businesses and make a lot of money for the athletic departments.

You and the OP can't seem to separate the idea that coaches get paid what they deserve b/c they are CEOs and it's irrelevant to players getting paid.

I realize you are thick. So I'll walk you through the logic step by step:
1. We can agree coaches should be paid their market worth. As you note, college football is big business, head coaches are rightfully getting CEO level pay.
2. By the same logic, players should also be paid their market worth. They're the ones producing the results on the field that generates the business results.
3. Up until the NIL ruling a few years ago, fair compensation for players was not happening. Instead a corrupt and illegal bag system was in place to recruit the best of them to a few schools who were able to avoid scrutiny. And everyone else got scholarships, some walk around money and a pat of the head when they played well or took one for the team.
4. The two coaches discussed earlier, Saban and Dabo, represent two of the programs that gained the most from that corrupt system.
5. Those same two coaches started to complain about a broken system the moment that market-based compensation and power shifted to the players,

The criticism is targeted to those two coaches because they benefitted from the old system and now speak out about the new system. The criticism is not about their pay but their pay being tied to successes gained illegally and through player exploitation.

Not reading anything you typed. You are on ignore and are a ******* ****.

For the people that are glazing Dabo, or at least excusing his hypocritical behavior, two things can be true.

1. Golding is a dumb **** and he’s definitely tampering.
2. Dabo is an unrepentant hypocrite and fake *** holy roller “Christian“, who cheated like a ************ to get high talent infusion into his program while pretending to be a virtuous and pure coach.

It’s not just rumor, it’s a fairly well established open secret that he was using a church to funnel money to players. That’s right - Mr. religiosity, using a church to illicitly funnel money, and literally facilitating the breaking of tax laws, so he could cheat and get the best players in the ACC.

Sadly, for him, the game has passed him by, the current situation, which I’ll admit is a mess, at least creates a more or less level playing field which has allowed our Canes to get back in the game. We had no shot before.

That’s not to his advantage, the old system was.

That’s why he’s snitching like a little *****. Maybe he hopes it goes back to the old ways. Not to mention the fact that he just can’t get it through his thick head, that these players deserve to be paid, rather than getting some under the table church payment which keeps him in the lead for talent.

Yep, I was done with Dabo's shtick a few years ago. I'll admit I liked him there for a while when he was a thorn in FSU's and Bama's side. Also helped gid rid of the Golden era. Now, he's probably the most unsufferable coach in today's game. Just a miserable prick.

He's not wrong in this case. Probably the most clear-cut case of tampering so far. I don't feel sorry for him, but this could set a bad precedent if nothing happens from this. I haven't really been paying attention to this case since it first broke, so I don't know what's going on with it.

Dabo made his own bed by thinking he was better than NIL and the transfer portal and he could win without those. Thought he didn't need to adapt and adjust. Came back to bite him in the ***. He may never recover. He's barely hanging on and looking for a reason to get out of the game. Hopefully we can be the final nail in his coffin this year.
