First, what kind of conference leadership doesn’t fight for Miami-South Florida to have a better slot than on CW? Somebody should be raising ****. Other than diehard Canes & USF fans who is gonna search for & find CW? Finally, thought the ACC revenue distribution plan - assuming it’s in place this season - rewards schools based on TV eyeballs, viewership or whatever. If so, this is a major lost opportunity.

First, this is an OOC game. So I'm not really sure that it's up to the "ACC" to "fight" for a better timeslot.

Second, the CW is a national network, like ABC and Fox. It's pretty easy to find. Actually, it's easier to find in Miami than the (new) local ABC affiliate. I stayed in a hotel IN CORAL GABLES on Saturday night before the Notre Dame game, and I had to go over to the Yard House to watch the FSU-Alabama game because the hotel didn't have the new Miami ABC affiliate on the TV dial.

Third, the ACC revenue distribution arrangement is still in place for conference games. Clearly, Miami is going to have a great OOC year for TV ratings, between the Notre Dame and Florida games, plus whatever they can round up for the USF game viewership. The ACC is not going to pay us a pile of money simply because we scheduled the best OOC slate for 2025.

Relax.

Could be wrong, but typical football fan on Saturday isn’t searching out CW.
You right but they look for particular games, like I didnt even realize smu-baylor was on there, I just wanted to watch that game and pulled it up.. It was very easy to find and i switched as soon as it was over to another game where I dont know the network

Uh, CW is a nationally broadcast channel that reaches 100% of US TVs, same as Fox, CBS, NBC, and ABC. Idk where this idea of searching is coming from. Being on the CW may not be the best for ratings purely because CW is JUST NOW entering sports, but CW carrying games is better for most football fans than ESPN/TNT/FoxSports/ESPN2 and all the like....
