Yes. And I believe we broke our own record, set earlier that year against NIU. We had some real clunkers in 1986, which resulted in the first (of several) insulting Sports Illustrated covers.

I'm not sure if it was an "all-time" record, as I would imagine there were some low-attendance games back in the 1930s and whatnot, but for the modern era, it was pretty bad. I remember the articles in the Miami Herald/Miami News.

By the way, if you're in the area, there's no reason not to go. There aren't any good games at night anyway. Go tailgate and watch Iowa vs Iowa State in the parking lot, it starts at 4:30. And then get your *** into a seat.
