This current standout SEC defensive back was born and raised in Miami, went from a certified goon at the age of 12 and turned his life around to a big time high school DB. SEC teams were all over him and so was his coach to go SEC... specifically Alabama..(this coach has ties to Saban and has sent another high profile croot to him). He was leaning to Alabama for a while (probably because of coach) untill he visited this this other SEC school. This croot fell in love with this new SEC school. This coach when learned about this other official visit he started calling his phone non stop to persuade him to go to Alabama and not this other school so much that he had to turn his phone off. When he got home was bombarded by the coach about going to Alabama to the point where he felt uncomfortable. This went on untill signing day.

Miami thought they never really had a chance, although they were sleeping at the wheel because he was truly interested in Miami. Miami one day tried to go see this croot and was told he wasnt in school, but there he was sitting right in class, SEC force fields implanted directly in the heart of south florda...Crazy aint it? This story is straight from the horses mouth. Bleakvern Reproting.

Robenson Therezie??? The sad part is until Miami starts winning again and in a major way, this will not change.

Wow that is a crazy story, thanks for sharing. That is crazy about the hidding the kid from a inschool visit with the UM staffers.

Go Canes

This recruit was at a pretty strong miami school, Miami was coming off 2 straight NC games, sent Several 1st round players at this recruits position to the nFL, yet this recruit spurned Miami for a SEC school coming off of an 8 win season with no recent succESS where one of his high school coaches just happened to get a job at this SEC school.

Blackvern, how do you have connections with local high school athletes, coaches, etc? Not being critical, just curious.

I wouldn't say Miami was sleeping at the wheel, I would say they were playing the game of, don't let our commits decommit and pick up the scraps. The is what recruiting is like when you only have a month to make a class.

It's a **** shame that these coaches allow this to happen, but money talks and bull**** walks.
