Lol this other clown saying NDs schedule is stronger than miami's by a mile. 4 common opponents plus a head to head lmao nearly half the p4 schedule is the same.

Their other wins outside the common opponents:
Purdue (2-10)
Arkansas (2-10)
Boise State (8-4)
USC (9-3)
Boston college (2-10)
Navy (9-2)

half of them are 2-10 teams!

Agreed. I think suddenly more eyes were on the SEC than normal because of all the compelling story lines and that conference by and large looked like absolute dog**** this weekend

Granted SEC homers will just say the same old same old but people on the fence just saw a lot of really bad football

If Chicago loses to the Browns later and ends up tied with Philly for first in the NFC. No one will mention that bad loss.
When ranking teams with the same record. IF head to head exists. NO other criteria should be considered. It's not anywhere else in the sports world.

Their SOS is defined by us and A&M, both of whom they lost to.

Will be much longer than that if Mario is ultimately successful here. He's only 55. Could coach for another 20 years if he wants to and is able to.

Think that's what folks missed arguing in the Lane thread about whether Mario would be in high demand if he were on the coaching market. The answer doesn't matter. He will never be on the coaching market again if he's successful here (which means we have many seasons in the future better than this one and last year - and more rings).

I don't know if it will all work out great for him here, and I had massive doubts after the SMU game, but I sure as **** hope it does. We would have a coaching stability advantage pretty unique in this era of college football.

I agree, he's got 6 years left on contract, I think he stays as long as he wants
everyone retires at some point, 10 more puts him at 65

When your blue bloods are struggling against the lowly ACC and teams who are so bad they fired their coaches, you rightfully lose some credibility.

Check out Tennessee's schedule. Rocky Fraud was literally ranked all season until their latest debacle. They were at #19 until that.

This bunch didn't win a game against a P4 team with a winning record.

Lost 3 conference games at home.

Won at Miss St in OT. Beat Arky by 3 at home.

Big wins at Florida and Kentucky.

This is a team being used to bolster Oklahoma's waxpaper CV.

Usually coach comes off as a hardo during these interviews but his current playoff campaigning is bringing out his affability.

It's interesting to see how playoff bubble coaches carry themselves during this part of the season. It gives you a glimpse into their character when their back's are completely against the wall.

The one's that know they're likely not going to make it typically act so whiny and childish -- Lane last season, Sark this season, even the almighty Saban at times. But Mario's cool, calm and collected. He knows Miami has a strong case and the current favor of the public. Even last year when we were in a similar situation with a weaker resume he still stated his case with dignity.

Say what you will about Mario but he ain't no *****.
