Jesus, you make one tiny mistake and people keep bringing it up even after five years.

I still stand by my sources. We just got that one wrong.

I've been seeing this on many sites. Hopefully they are all just rehashing the same story from one WRONG source. Why would they hire Cristobal after saying it was imperative to have one one with head coaching experience. He has less experience than Golden did.

Yes because we know what Charlie strong can do with Miami caliber recruits. We have seen it at Louisville, we have seen it at Florida. He had the closest thing to a "real" Miami defense that I have seen in a long time. He is highly respected in the community and would be a very good hire for Miami. he doesn't fit in Texas at all, the community, with the highschool coaches, recruits. He is used to recruiting in Florida. Now for chud he has been here before and is one of the great offensive minds in football. He would put together a great staff and imagine his offensive mind with our players once again

The only difference between what you said to prove your point about bringing Strong in and what was said about Randy Shannon before he was hired is that Randy Shannon actually had a "real" Miami defense. I am not saying that Strong would be as bad as Randy was and I can think of a couple of worse potential hires but to put him ahead of Gary Patterson is mind numbing to say the least. I would be willing to bet everything that I have that if Texas had hired Gary Patterson instead of Charlie Strong that team would look significantly different right now.

Maybe it will be opposite this time around. We say Cuban Golden is coming, done deal, players notified, etc and we get all ****ed off.

Then randomly we get a good coach...

Seems like every week there is a new leading candidate. Last week butch was leading it sounded like, this week it's mario. Who will be next week's rumor? My guess is rich rod his agent has got to get his name out there before the season ends I think

I wish Mario would be on the staff under Butch first, but if it is Mario we shouldn't panic. Unless he brings a bunch of no name assistants.

Tucker had top 5 defenses with the jags and did good with cleveland defense when he took over it. He had one bad year with a bears d that didn't have any talent. That guy ****s on d'onofrio.

Oh really? His rankings as DC from 2008-2014 in yards per game: 26, 23, 28, 6, 30, 30, 30..
Points per game: 16, 24, 27, 11, 29, 30, 31

Try again man. The guy is horrible. The end of Miami football is a reality if he is our DC.
