Any suggestions? Interestingly enough @Empirical Cane mentioned 14 as military age. Perhaps military school with service in the military as a part of the agreement to avoid prison time. Not all convicts are created/made equally.

At least a handful of innocent people were executed bc the corrupt justice system let people burn down and destroy cities after George Floyd. And they didn’t even get trials.

Not my point at all. My point is more innocent people die bc of a corrupt system outside of prison/court room than in one. It’s way more important to fix the outside, than worrying about the death penalty.

It’s not meant to deter crime. It’s meant to punish people for committing the worst crimes. Just like prison isn’t meant to deter crime, it’s meant to punish.
It’s a huge misconception. The Justice Department actually wrote something about this exact thing a while back.
If you wanna get better, go to anger management, AA, NA, actual rehab or wherever.

Sure… but here’s the thing about giving people 2nd , 3rd, 4th 5th chances. The people (or convicts to use your word) that can turn things around (or are just one time offenders) are the vast minority of criminals. We can’t cater laws to a minority of the criminals because as I’ve said before… that rewards criminals and punished the victim.
It’s like all this woke cancel ****. Take for example the all star game last year in the ATL (since that’s your home digs). Stacy Abrams was a big reason why that was moved to Colorado (even though she later denied it when it blew up in her face). That moved the all star game from a state that has more restrictive election laws than many democratic states (such as Biden’s Delaware) to Colorado which Denver is mostly white population. The woke is a vast vast minority in this country… but because of big tech (run by far lefties) and their bots… they are being catered to.

This country is *** backwards right now. Democracy is when the majority of people vote for something. But the minority of voters are running the show in crime, school indoctrination and woke booshizzle

Nearly a decade ago, a Chesapeake man was accused of armed robbery. His supporters are still trying to clear his name.
Brian Faulcon was charged in 2012 with robbing a pizza delivery driver at gunpoint after the driver identified him. His first trial ended with a hung jury and a mistrial was declared in the second. He was convicted at a third trial in 2018 and sentenced to five years. His friends and family say...
Alex Jones Guilty. Hope the jury on Friday hits him harder with punitive damages (only hope there is that the trial is in liberal Austin). Also hope this is just the first of many law suits.

Scarlett Lewis and Neil Heslin, whose son Jesse died alongside 19 of his classmates and six educators at the school in Newtown, Connecticut, had sought $150 million for defamation and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
An attorney for Jones, who has repeatedly suggested that the Sandy Hook shooting was a hoax (and the parents were actors), asked jurors to award Heslin and Lewis only $1.
The jury was only asked to decide whether Jones, who has already been found liable by a judge because he did not hand over critical evidence before the trial began, must also pay Jesse's parents for the emotional distress and reputational damage caused by his false claims. The jury will also decide Friday whether to award punitive damages.

He was 14, the person we are talking about. He had not been arrested before, but it wasn't his first poor decision. Im not sure what number of chances he was on, but it wasn't his first.
So what should we do? In this type of case where a 14 year old does a decade behind bars.
What does woke cancel have to do with what we are talking about? I don't want to cater to convicts either, but they are people . . . all lives matter. I know this is a ****** situation that I have asked for help solving. I am legit asking bc what we have now is not working.
If US incarceration rates were to decrease from a capacity of 100% down to 70% so a decrease of 30% what would that do to our economy? 30% of inmates would no longer be inmates, and they would be productive members of society. What would that do for our economy?
No idea.
