Most criminal justice systems in most big cities are now being run by hand picked Soros minions and you can see what the results are. And you know who’s getting hurt the worst, the poor, the disenfranchised, the people that are trying to make it out.

California reparations panel calls for inmates to receive compensation

California's controversial reparations panel is pushing for the state's legislature to close ten prisons, in addition to being made eligible to vote.

In theory California could stop most gun violence by the following actions:

Step 1: Build a border wall with Mexico that is impermeable. Crew it with drones, sensors, and weaponry. This will stop the flow of munitions into California

Step 2: Build border fortifications with other states. Barbed wire, check points, drones, sensors, and weaponry. Get clearance from California Supreme Court to waive environmental concerns to allow this to happen. This will stop the flow of weapons from other states into California

Step 3: Enhance port security to such an extent that weapons cannot be smuggled in via ship

Step 4: Institute a gun buy back program. California citizens have 90 days to turn in their guns and will receive some sort of market value

Step 5: Ownership of any sort of firearm is a criminal offense. Creation of firearms is a criminal offense. Establish robust enforcement and offer rewards for information on potential offenders

Step 6: Conduct house to house searches of all homes within California for illegal weapons, using above robust enforcement arm

Do all of these things - and presuming none are declared unconstitutional - and the state could radically reduce gun violence.

That’s all fine and dandy… but what about all the illegal guns? Who’s going to be getting them and how do you propose that operation (for instance to collect all weapons from gangs and/or militias)?

And even if you get rid of all guns… are u also getting rid of other weapons like knives?

It all comes back to … how do you defend yourself and your family if the bad guys have the things that will kill you and u can’t defend yourself

That would be part of Stage 6. You would need a very, very large enforcement branch to root that out.

Just a hypothetical on what would actually need to be done to meet the objective.

I am not sure how cities get away with banning guns. Though I am all for fencing off cali from the rest of us.
