Cover 3 Podcast Rat Poison

Its kinda nice to get the recognition, but I kinda like UM flying under the radar and playing with a chip on their shoulder.
 
Although Bud Elliot is a Nole, he fully believes in HS recruiting and development. So when he gushes over UM, it's on par for how he's praised Mario about his recruiting efforts, starting with HS. He was high on UM last year too.

Tom was also high on UM last year.

Chip being bought in is a strange one cause that little ****** loves to take shots at UM.


But overall, we absolutely be talked about like this. Our team is ******* stacked. We are a top 5 team with an easier schedule.

I sort of get why people say this but Miami has never ever been under the radar

The U on the helmet always brings out the others teams best games. We’ve never snuck up on anyone because of that logo
 
National media guys seem to have converged on the consensus that Mensah is gonna be a little bit Beck a little bit Ward, the OL is probably going to be fine because of Mario + Mirabal, and the DL still has some dudes on it even though it graduated generational talent. McElroy left the Canes DL out of the top 10 then came back and apologized and changed it.

The guys who dig a little deeper see that the DB room is also pretty good and the WR and RB rooms have depth beyond the well known names.

Would be harder to find a national guy low on Miami at this point.

The way the team is practicing (and likely hitting tomorrow) I don’t think the ‘rat poison’ is getting to them. Team character + depth has created self-reinforcing motivation—outside noise isn’t playing a factor as much as it maybe once would.

This show brought me legit joy during the playoff run last year.

The lsu fan ruffino, I think, doesn't come off as specifically anti UM. But he's most definitely an sec shill. And within that, there seems to be some unreasonable fear of Miami success.

Watching him squirm while covering UM positively or enthusiastically stammer in criticizing Miami is pure entertainment. The other guy just seems to be a general sports fan. Unbiased in the very literal sense & his "hot takes" seem to be whatever he thinks will get clicks.

The other guy is actually a Notre Dame fan which you would never guess based on how high he has been on Miami the past couple years.

Ruffino said Damon Wilson was basically ignoring LSU during his recruiting visit and was all in on Miami, Ruffino’s take away from that was Miami outbid by a lot :u5pyxda:
 
It’s hard to take a guy seriously that is talking about ND game when the topic is winning the ACC. He also thinks we play at FSU. Guy is a joke man.
 
The glasses guy from the Ruffino show compared Mensah to CJ Stroud, and I think that's a way better comp than the Jordan Love comp that Brooks Austin gave
