Corn's coming back

This is ******* huge, man. I'm so happy for him and what it means to our defense.

He can add some size, ball the **** out and maybe get himself some bigger up front $.

CB Elder
S Jenkins/Johnson
S Carter
CB Redwine/Byrd

I'm in. They'll all thank Coach Kul anyway.

I hate that we have to rely on either true freshman or unproven players (Redwine, Jackson, Mayes, etc.) for second and third CBs on depth chart given our recruiting footprint (beating dead horse, I know). I don't have the knowledge or eye to evaluate how these guys will do based on high school or limited college film; you think Byrd gets more burn then other guys currently on the roster? Would be interested to hear yalls thoughts.

Regardless, makes Corn coming back all the more important.

yall saw what the supposed JOrdan Futch said?

Bruh Jordan Futch here. Why are you guys encouraging these guys like @respect_yo_elder to stay another year. You should be encouraging them to leave. You have to leave to the NFL while your hot. The school makes all that money off of those tickets and return shirts and Corn gets nothing. Bruh listen you have a family it's ok to be selfish go to the NFL make your money and feed your family. Your degree will still be there when your done. Don't listen to these canes fans there selfish and just want to win which is good but you did what you had to do this year now go get paid family![

SMH....hes right about the fans and the school but oh so wrong about everything else leaving to be a 5th round pic does nothing for your family in the long run

I think Futch is wrong here.

Not everyone is encouraging Corn to come back for selfish reasons. Corn's best move for HIMSELF is to come back and optimize his draft stock. This is actually a stacked CB class and Corn isn't "hot" enough to strike. He needs to put on at least 10-12 pounds, keep refining his technique, and show off his playmaking skills behind a better/aggressive DLine.

Elder is a bit shorter, but similar to Kevin Johnson (Texans rookie), who relies on short area burst to make his $.

Lol he's right. You have to go to the NFL while your hot. However, despite tons of talent none of these guys are hot. For every Allen Hurns there a thousands of talented guys on practice squads because when cut day comes the guys who a GM used a draft pick on will always survive over the guy who walked on in free agency.

Futch should go futch himself. Idiot. The day Canes fans ***** over a legit first or second rounder leaving is the day his comments will be accurate. The difference in guaranteed money between being a second rounder vs a fifth rounder would truly be life changing for these kids whose financial situations would lead them to even consider trying to get paid quicker than they should. Futch playing the "you're being exploited" card won't do a lot of them any good if they never see a second contract and the first one was way less than it could have been.

Exactly. I haven't seen one person saying Burns needs to stay. Just the guys who have no shot at a good draft pick this year

Idiotic for him to spew that crap without qualifying it. What if a freshman could declare after a "hot" year? Does that mean they are automatically physically and mentally ready for the league?

Each situation is different. Artie's family situation dictates for him as it should. But if things were different, could he benefit some from a Raymond type? **** yeah...Corn will.

AQM missed all of last year. A year with Coach K and a draft protection of late 2nd round or beyond should have him coming back.

I hope I'm wrong, but Coley seems like a goner.

Prediction: 2 South Florida departures
2 OOS stick

Might be our biggest recruit.

The next one is Coley, but I get the sense he'll leave. If he's drafted in R5, it'll be a mistake.

Big picture perspective. If only these kids could see it. One more year, as the featured WR, in an offense run by Richt and lead by Kaaya- my dude, you gotta see the dividends in that.

For real. It's really easy to see it for us since we don't have everybody chirping in our ear about getting paid, but I just get the feeling that he's going to bolt. If he were to stay and put together a full healthy year in a Richt/Kaaya offense as the go-to guy he could really be in for a big payday.
