Yeah, kinda surprised that I’m in the minority when I say I want nothing to do with Strong at DC.

Absolutely not lol. If we are going to make the switch there, don’t just elevate someone else from this staff. That makes no sense and it is NOT a 100% without a doubt upgrade, which is the only reason we should make the switch there IMO.

I see your point, but Strong runs a much more aggressive defense than Steele did.

I don’t think this is specifically about his high school grades. Not as a prevention from signing. Like I said I don’t know.

I’ve been clear there’s more to this than people know. And you better believe business is involved, it always is. That said ……the amount of crap being thrown at the wall with this whole thing is mind boggling. From message boards right on down to the the “professionals“. I had a Bama subscription article sent to me where they said “ CM was a done deal to Bama but we upped the money“. That was yesterday. People elsewhere say “ he’s a done deal to Colorado”. So we have a done deal to Bama , Colorado and Miami.

Fact is nobody fully knows what’s going on and all the moving parts. Myself included, and I have pretty good info with this.

In reference to what I said about DVD and it apparently “sounding crazy”. Weeks ago I posted “T Rob told the Mcclains DVD was leaving to take an on field job elsewhere”. That was countered with he would be remaining as an on field coach and would be CM’s coach here. They were told it would be announced very soon. Well thats been three weeks.

If you think that wouldn’t play a part in this you’re crazy. Especially when it’s been dragging out this long. Now is that the only issue ? No, but it’s definitely a big issue.

Does he? Steele historically has been very aggressive, like very. I think he pulled back plenty this season after seeing we didn’t really have the backend for it.


Not only that, aggressive doesn’t automatically mean better. Strong wouldn’t do any better IMO and Steele has much better actual recent success coordinating a defense.

As for Clark, I think we’re going to atleast bring in someone to compete via the portal. If not, allegedly they were working Rivers at Center a lot early last season. If so, I can see him at Center and Francis starting at one of the OG spots. Either way OL is going to be much better off than last year.

Agree on Cooper.

Ideally you probably don’t want more than one freshman starting on the O-Line.

If you can get Zion back playing at his normal level and then maybe slot in Francis at LG, Clarke/Rivers/Cohen that is not a freshman at center, Cooper at RG and then Pancake/Francis (if Rivers stays at LG) that would be ideal.

I don’t want a freshman at LT or Center unless the Freshman clearly outplay the incumbent. Ties should go to the current player because of the experience factor but whatever.

Ties should go to the freshman because they weren’t part of a 5-7 abortion. Anyway, it helps Miami build for the future and helps recruiting to be able to say you play freshmen

Is it possible Cristobal went on an extended vacation to a place with no cell phone reception ? Maybe that could explain why Gattis is still on staff and DVDs job hasn't been announced.

Hypothetically...allegedly...there are two potential bundles of issues going on.

One is that academic issues necessitate a change in other contractual terms.

Another is that a promise to be his position coach has not yet come to pass.

It's not complicated. The first one is a bit delicate and tricky, there's not a lot of precedent in the world. The second one involves trust issues and was the subject of dirty recruiting (recently).

If those two rashes clear up, then I'd say we have a 95% clean bill of health.

So give it a rest. No need for you to "keep going". You need to redirect your precious talents and gifts in a new direction.

I'm not against Schumann. But I find it highly unlikely that Mario could pull him from Lanning Smart.

So going with a more likely outcome...is at least something we could accomplish.
