Class tumbles outside the top 10 into #12 if he de-commits.

Mario was brought in to win these battles. If you’re going to take so long to hire a staff, your recruiting needs to be the bright spot and take attention away from that.

So far, nothing program-changing has come from the off-season. This would certainly be a tough pill to swallow. It’s a top-heavy class right now - what does that become if we lose the top?
Without him this class would finish top 8 with just Samson and Bain. Tumbling is a stretch.

Ironically, McClain was a catalyst for the Rashada decommit. This is such a **** show. There is very little good faith negotiating going on in any of these deals. Guys are taking substantial benefits pre-signing and still shopping for higher bidders. Don’t count on any highly coveted player until they show up on campus.
Hate to see my favorite sport turned into this trash. I want these guys to get paid but its become nothing more than an ugly money grab.

Kinda hopping Group of 5 breaks off and does something a little different.

Welp, this is what happens when you don’t show results on the field and NIL is the only thing you have to offer.

My biggest concern is that if we have another poor season next year that we end up having an A&M like exodus of kids that only committed because of $$. You think the kids teetering before even stepping on campus are gonna stick around after another season like this one..
This program can’t afford another bad season next year. Don’t care how great a recruiter Mario is he won’t be able to overcome that

He literally committed after MTSU and Duke. Stop with the its because we suck narrative lol
THIS. The product on the field was complete garbage when he committed to UM. And in all likelihood, this probably isn't an NIL thing. UM has plenty of resources there. McClain is being recruited by one of the greatest head coaches of all time who just so happens to also bring a focus in coaching and developing defensive backs. This is a heavyweight battle and one that was always going to be, as McClain might be the best high school player in America.

This is what happens when you're trying to close on elite players as opposed to recruiting Larry Hope or Nate Dortch. Get used to this because if Cristobal is as good of a recruiter as he is made out to be, elite programs will be trying to flip UM's commits routinely. Time for Mario to earn his paycheck.
