Don't pay attention to speed. See how he flows throughout plays. Look to see if he is a sideline to sideline player. See if he struggles to get off blocks. Look to see if he plays his run/pass lanes correct. See if he times up his biltzes well. He's playing against the #1 RB in the nation, is he able to bring him down on initial contact or does constantly aim for his legs or need help to bring him down? Look for these things as this will tell you more than does he look fast.

Speed is good. A guy that produces and has a high football IQ is better. There are players on the team now that can run, but don't produce much.
