Corch Gattis is the Tan Enos as someone else put it. Whenever your OC is praised for using tight ends well in the year 2022, you should know a slow plodding offense is coming. You know **** is bad when we’re happy the guy dials up a flea flicker.

There was talk on our boards about Butch and Mario being bad game day coaches. Mario came out and wasted a TO after half time. Also, didn’t go for it when we were having difficulties making plays. Absolute abortion of a game. Same ol’ Miami.

Broyles winner got us Big 10 Ballin.
You do realize if we ran the ball more we probably would have won

When you dont have the most talent, it is the COACHES job to scheme them into making plays. I'm not seeing that with our WR's.

Not having Restrepo was crushing.

Everyone is saying, we dont have the talent, we dont have the talent. BS, that's only true to a point. If we had the 5 best WR's in the world. Then ANY ONE OF US could coach them to wins.

We have enough talent at WR for the coaches to use. Start playing to their strengths and use it.
This "Scheme guys open" crap is so overplayed,.it's a cliche. Unless you are straight up outtalenting people, you have to make contested catches on occasion. Our guys didn't do that, they didn't even make the easy catches consistently. The fact that we are relying on some Bill Walsh in 1988 crap is hilarious. Even Bill would tell you that scheme only goes so far.

Less talented players exceed expectations when coaches coach them up. Anyone can coach the most talented guy me and you included
I get it, everyone’s emotional after a loss they wanted to be a win, but Not true, on a consistent basis. Up for a game? Yeah, App State proved it. FIU proved it against us. It took Saban and Dabo a few years to load up on talent. Don’t forget the wasted talent under Mandy.

You have to make a contested catches. Agree.

However route combos and schemes are not an over played cliche. Hahah. Wow. Calling the correct patterns against a certain defense is an overplayed cliche?

You sure about that?

Sure it takes a few years to load up on talent, especially for depth chart reasons. But that game last night I feel was there for the taking. And we didnt take it.

Hopefully we use it as a learning experience.

There were deficiencies all over the team and coaches. I just watched Mario’s postgame presser. Very informative an reassuring. I take comfort in the fact that he’s keeping it real. I’m 68 years old, have seen this program nearly fold, and have seen it at its peak. Yesterday’s loss was far better to digest than some of our losses and performances of the past. Patience on our part is gonna be very helpful.

Don’t forget, it’s also a team that lost to app state. People are praising our defense (they played well), but even app state held Texas A&M to less points. Perhaps ATM’s offense isn’t really that good?
App state had the ball longer and didn’t give the ball up inside the red zone

Our defense was more impressive than theirs imo even though they gave up fewer points (barely)

Say what you want, we don’t have the talent as yet. As for coaching, I’m not worried.
All the haters conveniently forget to mention how good Gattis was at Bama in 2018 and Penn St in 2017. Last year Michigan had a very good, balanced offense.

This is an overreaction Sunday. I hate when coaches get blamed when players need to be held accountable too. It takes both to work!

Link to the postgame presser?

Played scared ball. Reminded me of Richt a bit. There was no aggression. Someone remind me, how many 4th down conversion attempts did we have on the night?

Preach sir.....Preach!!! +10000

Eh we didn't really get out coached. Players made to many mistakes.
We absolutely got outcoached on offense!! They let us run and dared us to throw! They rushed 4 all night and played man two deep, which is easy to beat if you run the right concepts such as verticals and drags/ slants underneath to let guys run after catch while blocking down field. They played that No’D bend don’t break defense on us lol. When we got into the red zone they moved guys up to stop the run and played straight man. Easy 1v1 fades there where we can throw it only where our guy can get it or it goes out or we get a PI call and we get first and goal at the one. Both Redding and Smaith are 6’1 plus and have 40 plus inch verts!! No receivers are going to commit here 🤦🏾‍♂️

Mario reminds me of Butch when it comes to clock management.
How was Butch's clock management when Dorsey went 70+ yds in 1:30 to beat FSU in 2000??....or how was Bowdens clock management in the 91...92 and 2000 UM vs FSU games...where he let countless seconds run off the clock...that might have allowed his Kickers alot easier FGs.
