Cook state title game highlights

agree not as good as Duke.

But his size/speed combo is so elite that his upside is better than anyone we've had on campus in the last decade.

LOL. You havent been round these parts long enough but Lamar is not really a fan favorite on these board. His last year here he started off strong and then most likely had some shoulder issues and wasnt running hard enough for the fans liking. No matter that shoulder injuries are a b*tch and he didnt miss any games and he toughed it out. No matter he was the first canes back to go over 1k in who knows how long. Fans just have a sour taste about Lamar, dont know if its cuz he played on some mediocre teams or he left early and the fans wanted him to stay (even though he plays the shortest shelf life position w/ injury history himself)

Our fans really have a negative connection with Lamar...

Oh and having seen them both since their soph. years when Lamar was running kicks on the west and Cook was sideline pimping the majority of the time, I say Cook is better than Lamar, Lamar went down too easily. Cook though not looking for contact will lower the boom, and he has good hands, Lamar is a natural at RB tho.

Just watched that lamar highlight, ALMOST forgot how natural he made those cut backs through traffic look. When he saw daylight, smh...

Lamar miller was an absolute monster, message boarders are idiots in regard to him and Travis Benjamin. And they don't give Sean Spence nearly his just due.
 
Love duke to death, but if cook comes here he'll be starting half way through the season

Golden wasn't letting a freshman Duke Johnson start over Mike James in 2012. He's not going to let Cook start over Duke should he come here.

Well I don't necessarily think he will "start", but I think he would be getting more touches than Duke by the end of the season.

Maybe a game or 2. He's more likely to be used like they did Duke in '12; special teams and to come in and give Duke a blow. If he gets into a really good rhythm, they'll keep riding him.
 
He's not like Melvin Gordon lol.

Gordon is 6'2" and is more powerful, but half a step slower than Cook.

Lol imagine if we unleash Duke the whole first quarter, Cook the whole second quarter, Yearby and Powell the whole third quarter, and then Duke/Cook/Yearb/Kung-Powell or just Duke/Cook the fourth quarter in variations. That would be pretty funny and fun to watch. Obviously would never happen.
