I like Richt because he has the dignity to not let friendships get in the way of staff adjustments. He has Pruitt, a well regarded young defensive mind, and Schottenheimer from the NFL. He's going to hire the right guys, and he's got a good enough pedigree to compete for recruits down here, as well as being a decent Sfla recruiter to start with. McElwain sold recruits on Eddy Lacy, Trent Richardson, and Mark Ingram, well Richt could do the same with Gurley, Chubb, and now Sony.

We would be a 10 win team every year, but the fans would be ****ed when we lose to NC or VT or whatever. I think we would definitely make a playoff appearance and maybe even get to a NCG under Richt, possible we could win one. A lot better than some of the names being thrown around. If he's interested it would be stupid to rule him out. Easily a top 3 candidate if he is interested. Maybe a change of scenery would do him some good, light a new fire.

If I had my way I would give Butch the job because it would bring excitement back but he's just not realistic right now. He's gonna have to do and show a lot to the president and BOT's to win their hearts over. Only thing on Butch side right now is alumni, fans, some players, and a few of the older BOTs still like Butch.

UNC's been through 10 investigations according to Butch. Not sure if that's an exaggeration or not, but nonetheless he's never once been implicated on any wrongdoing.

Herman- a gamble. Has fire, is organized, holds players accountable. Lack bigtime program experience. I would be comfortable with this hire, especially if he can wrangle some consessions from UM admissions.

Whoever is is pushing for Mario is going to regret that decision in a few years. He flat out cannot coach.

We are gonna ruin this search. The god **** architect of our last run is asking for the job and they want to hire some OC no one else in the nation has on their list.

I agree with you there but like you I'm sure way down the list. Read an article where he said he follows CFB a lot and believes he changed. If that meant he brought in an exciting OC, be completely hands off, then that option wouldn't be the worst. Certainly better the. Chud and Mario
 
One thing I don't miss about living in Miami is hearing "bro" at the end or beginning of 90% of all sentences spoken by dudes, bro.
 
Mario +1, Mario doesn't need to be the HC to come back. I think we can get him back on the staff with the right HC in place. He saw golden and saban, now i could see him ready to live in Miami again.

So Im not a huge mario for HC guy but

Chud + Mario
Smart + Mario + Todd Lupoi
Herman + Mario
Strong + Mario

all sound good to me

Chud is Super solid, this dude will want a NFL HC job and **** be bent on getting a ring here. He will have a great staff you could see Dorsey and Orgeron in tow.

I want Rumph on staff.

You mentioned about 3 things Richt has t done at UGA but would do here. Richt is average as ****, constantly under achieves his talent level.

He's a nice guy, best thing I can say about him. But I don't want a nice guy here, I want a savage

We don't need Mario on staff. The "he's a great recruiter" idea is a myth. He's recruiting for Alabama for christs sake. I can recruit for Alabama and be deemed a great recruiter.

We don't need Mario anywhere near this program. Let him build his resume up at a smaller program and actually win more than 8 games then we can talk.
 
Let me tell you something about Mario that many of you may not know. Apparently he didn't even want to offer TY hilton and had to be talked into it by his assistants. He barely even attained his one crowning achievement. Without Hilton nobody even knows who Cristobal is at this point in time.

If he hasn't done it at Georgia, I don't know how he'd do it here....Georgia is absolutely loaded with talent and they get the dibs on many of the top players in state. This year alone the state must have 7 of the top 25 DTs in the country - incredible, really...

Richt is a "good" coach - but he's not in the very good group or difference maker group - and those are the groups that win championships...

Blustein and players mention Mario cause they know him from recruiting, that's all. Search Committee has not even been assembled. All these names are being discussed by fans and media. Right now, nothing behind it.
