MEGA Conference Realignment and lawsuits Megathread: Stories, Tales, Lies, and Exaggerations

Yeah I’ll believe it when I see it but would be a great plan.
This thread goes back to June of 22. How many predictions have been made by the so called CIS experts at this point of the thread? Now I know the “experts” always throw in their little nugget so when they are wrong, they can confidently and conveniently point you back to that nugget on whatever page. These guys would have been complete failures at this point in a court room defending their clients.

Needless to say, nobody knows anything- and rightfully so. The day Miami announces should be a surprise to all of us, including our collection of “experts”.

More bull**** from a know-nothing.

This is why some people like @HighPerformance should be permabanned. Not because they have violated a rule, but because they can't handle the flow of information "before it gets reported in the Miami Herald".

Oh, some "predictions" didn't come to pass. Right. Meanwhile, those CIS "experts" have been correctly reporting the impending news, before it happens, even if that sometimes results in unexpected developments, such as Washington/Oregon taking half-shares and all of the Congressional action/inaction.

Nobody put a gun to your head and forced you to read or participate in this thread. Feel fee to avoid it in the future so that you are "surprised" by what happens to Miami next.

Honestly, what kind of pussified limp-**** porster complains about FREE information just because the information is subject to change as the circumstances change?

I’m aware. I created it 😂

It was then and remains today the only thing that really matters. P2 or die. Simple as that.

FWIW, I guessed in the OP we’d have been in the SEC a year ago, so obviously I know less than zero. But i think the message is still the same, the ACC is a dead-end and getting out is the only thing that matters.

Overall I agree. There is a small but not zero chance the ACC gets its act together and competing media interests make a third conference truly viable. ESPN isn’t the only game in town. I hope and expect Echevarria is pursuing all scenarios.

I am actually flattered- you want to censor me because you feel me as a threat to you. It’s truly an honor and much appreciated.

My best advice to you is; loosen up your skinny jeans, take down your manbun, and lastly, take a huge sip of your pina colada.

It’s probably unnecessary to write such long responses in an attempt to convince yourself. We can go with “changing/challenging landscapes” if that helps you deal with it all.

I almost forgot- no need to try and bait me into board violations with personal insults or political banter. Your agenda shines loudly.

This is most likely.

This bill will change a lot before it is ever enacted into law, if that ever even happens. But let's say they agree with the amendment and give schools a short window before the 5 year freeze. Which ACC school is going to pay $150mm now? You would have to have a guaranteed immediate admission at 100%. Big Ten is waiting on ND. SEC maybe does a backroom deal with UNC. Will be interesting.

What if your destination was correct, but your timetable was off? Then still nailed it imo

But i think the message is still the same, the ACC is a dead-end and getting out is the only thing that matters.

ACC unraveling similar to the Pac-12 is the surest bet of all. Not sure why some of our fans are still expecting the Canes to be stuck on shipwreck island when the The U brand is as strong as it’s been in two decades

The fact you admitted you were wrong is a ******* miracle on this site. No excuses, no bull**** alibi’s, no throwing a tantrum and screaming for people to be banned. Grown man stuff.

No need to listen to all of this or break it down with AI

What is important:
UNC has to break away from the ACC and they need to do it sooner rather than later.

UNC can not stay competitive in its 28 sports without leaving the ACC.

NC State does not need to be taken in realignment for it to happen.

NC board of governors knows they can not hold UNC hostage to help NC State

There is no other solution for UNC

This is great news for teams trying to leave the ACC. The negative is if ND sees the ACC blowing up and there is a cap of 19-20 on conference members, then ND could jump onboard the B1G, pick a team like Stanford as their partner and lock Miami out. Of course there will be a lot of lawsuits over the conference cap and not allowing teams to be associated with whatever conference they want to be associated with.
