MEGA Conference Realignment and lawsuits Megathread: Stories, Tales, Lies, and Exaggerations

That's all you got? Rinse and repeat huh. Lame. You cant even dispute the bs you brought up bout mensah but this new canes vs old canes is your nexus narrative. Go play bingo.
BS? See- you victimhood dopes always do that. It had nothing to do with Mensah as a player or person- however- the replies were all about him as a person. But you guys couldn’t stop yourselves- you swooped in to “protect” him even though it didn’t exist. And no matter if he is QB1 or not- he ain’t the leader of this team. But you guys decided to draw a nexus to nowhere to help support your agenda of screaming “Victim!!!”

And for all you “He’s QB1 and the leader” - Indiana is sending an OL- DL and LB.

The SEC map covers the fastest growing region of the U.S.- both in population and finance. I would say they are doing it right- and I’m sure they have zero interest in moving “out west”.
I recall seeing a comp analysis that made it hard to really argue that their choice isn't viable even if it may make the B1G's sack of Atlanta and march to the sea inevitable.

How do you know he's not a leader? In pretty much every interview, when asked about him, people say he grinds and is a vocal leader. Oh, and that's in addition to him being probably the best QB in the nation.

This thread took a dark turn.

Let's get back to talking about awesome it will be to make 140 million a year and dwarf the payouts of the P2 after Yormark the Destroyer reveals the Big12-ACC merger.

I didn’t say he wasn’t a leader- reading compensation matters. I said he isn’t the leader of this team.

All parties are in alignment about UNC to the SEC. UVa may not be "quite" as desirable to ESPN/ABC, but it's still going to happen.
I'm with ESPN/ABC on this- just not seeing the value in adding either, but particularly UVA. I know the SEC does things differently- nobody ever confused Ark, SC, Missou, or even A&M (when they were added) with being great football programs, but I just don't see why Disney would justify an offer substantially higher with these two additions than they would without them. These two additions may just add a couple of decent wins for the bigger teams, they aren't going to lead to more 10 million viewer games though. And the days of adding cable tv subscriptions are pretty much over with cable tv dying.

You are- **** are you this dumb or just ******* with me. Seriously, is this a con job or are you rolling with full brain power.

And here comes the cry baby talk- “go root for them then”. ******* hilarious. You pushed out your tiny chest about QB1 and how important it is and that’s why QB1 is there- he’s the leader and it matters o so much. Then- I give you an example of the national champs doing the opposite and you turn it into a crybaby comment about me rooting for Indiana.

You need to learn to grasp the concept of people

You dummy- you have a real hard time understanding that people have differing opinions. Your tiny brain can’t comprehend such a thing. You have this weird savior complex- even on a message board. Would you like for me to do a color by numbers explanation for you? Will that help your tiny brain take it all in at once?

I give you an example about how having QB1 at this thing isn’t that important- and you do the crybaby thing again- stomp your tiny feet and tell me to go root for Indiana.

Yes I would have liked to see Toney or even maybe old hat Rodriguez out there. Toney wasn’t around with Cam and was a newbie last year. That point is mute about those two.

I will be at the Stanford game Mr Huckleberry- so you can be mine out there. I don’t typically get into the message board banter - and this is why. I usually stay clear of perpetual victims like you in the real world.

UVA is a great academic school. My daughter got turned down from UVA and is going to be a Gator (God forbid - sorry, not paying UM tuition for her).

But they don't move the needle. They don't have fans statewide like a typical big ten school. If it happens, it's more for the research potential, academic prestige and geographic footprint than the eyeballs.

I've stayed away from this thread bc it's moved from the absurdly dumb speculation of a few years ago (Miami is DEFINITELY going to _____ in 2023, 2024, 2025, no, 2026!) to a really complicated unknown with the Senate & networks playing 3D chess. If Miami can recruit like they have been recently, then the ACC is such an easy path to the playoffs with great academic partners. Plus the unequal revenue distributions really help. But if UNC and UVA leave then the academic angle is dead regardless. Who knows? Nobody here, that's for sure. I thought nothing would happen until 2030 - now I'm thinking more like 2028 one way or the other.

Fun stuff. Miami will be fine either way

@HighPerformance shut ur ***** *** up. You been starting **** with other posters like jamesquall now you crying like a hoe. I'd take ya wife from you if you closer and knock your jaw loose
Both of y’all, knock it off now because you’re ruining the thread. Enough of this blue lot bull****. People are trying to discuss actual issues.

You can’t even talk about reading comprehension if you can’t say it or spell it right.

The SEC is making less $ on their TV contract than the B1G.

You may have also forgot the U is an academic institution as well. The U is interested in its status off the field as well. As an AAU university the research $ that is involved in joining the B1G vs the SEC is a difference of billions of dollars. Joining the B1G allows the U to improve their academic standing.

Another fact you are leaving out is that the SEC has to be interested in adding Miami to their conference. It has been pointed out numerous times here that there are too many teams in the SEC that don’t want Miami in the conference. If they can’t get voted in then they will not be invited. So what do you want to do? Stay in the lousy @ss ACC?

VTech >> UVA imo

Thanks for replying. Let’s hope Mario has some say in this- which if he does- it may be very little. From a purely sports perspective- we should all be pulling for the SEC. They are the best collegiate athletic conference- and by quite a bit. They may not win everything- but their athletic pedigree is unmatched by the BIG. And who in the holy **** wants to be associated with all those pompous institutions- from a historical perspective- Miami fans of yesterday wouldn’t ever want to be associated with the BIG. It’s like wanting Notre Dame to be successful. But I get it- Miami has become somewhat soft and liberal over the years.
