Posting here only for the numbers
They better sell if they haven't. Don't see them coming out on top.

It was a nice one year thing. Too bad the ACC and big 12 got ***** slapped into taking set amounts going forward per team and it won’t matter especially knowing the SEC and Big Ten get more per teamExactly.
Sheeee-it, Miami made that much money on ONE year's CFP run, thanks to the new ACC rules.

Trolled? Im just posting..They are in fact, getting $2 billion from the open AI investment, but I think you’re all getting trolled with how much they’re giving to football and basketball
There's certainly several more steps between that unrealized gain and cash funding for NIL.They are in fact, getting $2 billion from the open AI investment, but I think you’re all getting trolled with how much they’re giving to football and basketball

Let me guess.....more access to the playoff and more money to the B1G?Apparently, the Big 10 is considering a change. Stay tuned!

I lived in the DMV for many years, plus in central and southeastern Virginia. I don’t remember Rutgers being a Maryland rival. It was always Maryland and Virginia that were rivals, particularly in basketball.Rutgers was brought in as prerequisite to get their rival Maryland,

They are manufactured “rivals,” now in that they are an annually protected matchup by the B1G that have oftentimes played one another on the last week of the season. And of course, as I wrote, Rutgers’ admission to the B1G was dependent on Maryland’s move.I lived in the DMV for many years, plus in central and southeastern Virginia. You are an absolute backpedaling bull****ter. They are manufactured “rivals,” now in that they are an annually protected matchup by the B1G that have oftentimes played one another on the last week of the season. The post I was replying to was talking about why Rutgers was already in the B1G and not Miami. Well, they’re in it because of Maryland and their location.
Exactly. Don't know where @cookies is pulling this from. Rutgers was initially taken into the Big East for football only, remaining in the A-10 for other sports. Rutgers' rivals are Lehigh, Lafayette, Princeton, Columbia, Seton Hall, and Navy.
Meanwhile, Maryland was a founding member of the ACC since 1953.
There was zero rivalry between Rutgers and Maryland. Maybe he confused Maryland and Navy.
There was no such rivalry. It's just another @cookies misstatement.
Over 90 years (pre-Big-Ten), Maryland and Rutgers played 9 times in football. Seven of those nine games happened from 1920-1942.
He’s right about what you posted as to Rutgers being taken because of its rivalry with Maryland. There was no such rivalry. I lived there for years and years. I’ll leave the rest of it aside.
I wrote they were taken as a prerequisite then described Maryland as a rival; with rival being an adjective. You are an absolute backpedaling bull****ter.
You said the Rutgers was taken BECAUSE of its rivalry with Maryland.
Once again, you double down on your original error with some spun-up bull**** about what you meant to say (but didn’t).
Why don’t you spend 10 seconds googling before vomiting more inaccurate facts. You’re so bad at this “posting” thing.
The University of Maryland is in serious negotiations to join the Big Ten Conference, sources told ESPN on Saturday.
If Maryland goes from the ACC to the Big Ten, Rutgers of the Big East is expected to follow suit.
A source told ESPN that the Big Ten has been itchy about further expansion since Notre Dame made its official move to the ACC two months ago in all sports other than football. The source said the Big Ten can justify Maryland and then possibly Rutgers since they are all contiguous states to the Big Ten footprint………. The addition of the two East Coast schools would dramatically stretch the Big Ten's footprint. With Maryland holding down the Beltway, Rutgers offering up the New York market and Penn State's strong eastern ties, the league has a solid anchor in the mid-Atlantic states.
Rutgers would not get an invitation to the Big Ten unless Maryland completed its own far more complicated and controversial deal. News of a potential Maryland move had leaked out on a message board on Nov. 11, and the fan base was divided.
“I would just say Maryland was a charter member of a healthy conference,” Delany said. “Rutgers was in a conference that wasn’t stable. You can deduce from that.”
Maryland, unlike Rutgers, had leverage. The school’s athletic department was mired in debt and had cut seven sports a year earlier, but it aggressively pursued a deal to secure an advance on its future earnings to pay a $52 million exit fee from the ACC.
Rutgers was brought in as prerequisite to get their rival Maryland, and by getting both of them at once, the B1G accomplished their goal of getting into the east coast tv markets. Maryland got more money it needed.
They had just brought in Nebraska a few years prior and expanding their footprint in the DMV and tri-state markets were the way to go to expand the revenue pie.
To be national, is the point…They don’t want regionality. There is no reset inbound; ever.
