Exactly.

Sheeee-it, Miami made that much money on ONE year's CFP run, thanks to the new ACC rules.
It was a nice one year thing. Too bad the ACC and big 12 got ***** slapped into taking set amounts going forward per team and it won’t matter especially knowing the SEC and Big Ten get more per team

They are in fact, getting $2 billion from the open AI investment, but I think you’re all getting trolled with how much they’re giving to football and basketball
There's certainly several more steps between that unrealized gain and cash funding for NIL.

Apparently, the Big 10 is considering a change. Stay tuned!

I lived in the DMV for many years, plus in central and southeastern Virginia. I don’t remember Rutgers being a Maryland rival. It was always Maryland and Virginia that were rivals, particularly in basketball.

Exactly. Don't know where @cookies is pulling this from. Rutgers was initially taken into the Big East for football only, remaining in the A-10 for other sports. Rutgers' rivals are Lehigh, Lafayette, Princeton, Columbia, Seton Hall, and Navy.

Meanwhile, Maryland was a founding member of the ACC since 1953.

There was zero rivalry between Rutgers and Maryland. Maybe he confused Maryland and Navy.

They are manufactured “rivals,” now in that they are an annually protected matchup by the B1G that have oftentimes played one another on the last week of the season. And of course, as I wrote, Rutgers’ admission to the B1G was dependent on Maryland’s move.

The post I was replying to was talking about why Rutgers was already in the B1G and not Miami. Well, they’re in it because of Maryland and their location.
