Early season losses matter. They determine seeding, and seeding is everything.

If you want to go back to a system where Miami can get snubbed from the playoffs multiple times, that's on you.

Every game means something.

And please don't pretend that LSU didn't win the national championship in 2007 with TWO losses. At a time when ONLY TWO TEAMS played for the National Championship.

I am not. And I am not saying LSU didn't happen. The point is it was an extremely rare occurrence. It will happen EVERY year and therefore, games mean less.

And, again, nearly ever P4 conference will be playing NINE conference games, plus another P4 game.

It's not all about the size of the playoffs. All the best teams are playing all the best teams. If you call losing these games "mulligans", you are nuts.

The regular season should be the regular season. The regular season games should not be the playoffs, in and of themselves.
