MEGA Conference Realignment and lawsuits Megathread: Stories, Tales, Lies, and Exaggerations

Lol Every game counts then give an excuse for why early season losses shouldn't matter.

Regular season games mean less than before. You know it. I know it. Everyone knows it. It is better than what there was before for sure, but no system is perfect, including the 24 teams they will probably end up with.

Early season losses matter. They determine seeding, and seeding is everything.

If you want to go back to a system where Miami can get snubbed from the playoffs multiple times, that's on you.

Every game means something.

And please don't pretend that LSU didn't win the national championship in 2007 with TWO losses. At a time when ONLY TWO TEAMS played for the National Championship.

I am not. And I am not saying LSU didn't happen. The point is it was an extremely rare occurrence. It will happen EVERY year and therefore, games mean less.

****, we showed you can lose to Louisville and SMU and get a ticket to the dance. Thank God for it.

And, again, nearly ever P4 conference will be playing NINE conference games, plus another P4 game.

It's not all about the size of the playoffs. All the best teams are playing all the best teams. If you call losing these games "mulligans", you are nuts.

The regular season should be the regular season. The regular season games should not be the playoffs, in and of themselves.

@TheOriginalCane @RVACane

It just means more.

Who said regular season games should be playoffs? I simply said regular season games mean less, which they do. Frankly, 8 teams should be the playoff. You can lose a game and it would be a mulligan for the most part.

If they go to 24, 2 losses would guarantee a spot in the playoffs. Too much in my opinion.

"But going to 24 would allow for better matchups so teams won't be afraid of losing a game OOC". Every conference already plays 9 conference games. The $EC & ACC mandate 1 OOC P4 team. Get B1G & Big XII will follow suit especially if they get dinged by the committee for it.

****, P4 just get together and come up with guidelines for all 4 conferences for scheduling, NIL, transfers, and all the other issues in college football today and be done with it.
