I couldn't find anything
Agree ... the world knows the ND AD was ****ed and had a generally childish reaction to the CFP decision and the fact that the ACC Commissioner had the "audacity" to actually support a Miami team that had the head to head win OVER ND in public comments. ND just came away looking childish. Hope we pound their asses in November.

These were bold predictions from The Athletic Sports writers in their 2026 season predictions.

Bold predictions

Lastly, we asked our staffers to offer up bold predictions and hot takes about 2026. These are meant to go out on a limb; they do not have to align with answers to previous questions. The bolder the better, but we’ll be honest: Don’t expect a high percentage of these to come true.

Then again, Indiana just won a national championship in football.

Scott Dochterman: With the Big Ten whiffing on its preferred CFP format and failing to secure an outside funding package from UC Investments, the league will make a splash by reaching a future football scheduling agreement with Notre Dame. The league will provide up to six games each year for the Irish — including an annual game with USC — and Notre Dame also will move its other sports (men’s hockey already competes in the Big Ten) under the league umbrella in due time. Notre Dame also will join the Big Ten’s bowl package.

Pete Sampson: Notre Dame formally notifies the ACC of its intention to withdraw from the league and enters into a scheduling partnership with the Big Ten/SEC to fill out its missing football scheduling inventory. The rest of the Irish sports shift to the Big East.

These "predictions" are a LOONNGGG WAY from "ND is breaking their deal with the ACC and doing a similar deal with the SEC / B10". This speculation has been around since BEFORE the realignment thread was even started, so it is basically off season gossip, just like ANYBODY moving to the "P2" prior to the 2030 window when both the SEC and B10 media contracts are up for renewal.

I'm super curious as to when we next hear anything about realignment. Gotta think our admin wants to sit down with the P2 conferences while the brand is back in the national limelight and being the number 2 most watched program this past year.

What makes you think this hasn’t taken place already? 🤔

I’ve explained this before regarding the formula of ratings:
-Measurable
-Production
-Competition
-Camps
-Offer List Quality

That’s the 4 main components. Certain schools in certain conferences are going to get love compared to others, fair or not. Schools can be move up/down the prestige list based upon W-L intervals (it used to be 10 yrs, iirc). Ratings r not a perfect science, it’s more of a projection which is y u see hella blue chip bust or under the radar guys who transfer & r re-evaluated as blue chips.

This is y it’s extremely important for ur program to have an identity, a culture, & u recruit the best based upon those criteria, stars be damned.

I'm positive it has. I want to know when we actually hear anything about it next.
The conference’s are waiting for things to unfold with legal stuff. Once that is finalized is when the domino’s will begin to fall, imo.

I am not stressed at all about this topic because I’m very confident where we and other programs are going to land. Plus, thanks to FSU and Clemson’s lawsuit (as I hinted very early in this thread about these schools working together), we made a great deal of money last year so it eases the pain of being in this ****** conference.

The crow eating in this thread is going to be epic when it’s all said and done.
