I’m a traditionalist. Good Pilsners, Lagers, Dunkels. Most American craft brews tend to be too hoppy for my taste. Miss Anchor Steam and Liberty Ale out of San Fran.

You don't know anything about beer. Corona is a super light bodied beer with virtually no hop bitterness whatsoever ... it is like a Bud Light. Modelo Especial is a legit German style pils with an excellent malt body and balanced hop profile ... not even remotely close to a Corona.

Liberty Ale was my go to for a long time. Along with Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. Goose Island is a nice IPA, not crazy with alcohol content (5.5% or so) and very good hop profile. Lagunitas IPA is also a nice one.

.... If I google Modelo, the only one described as German (Munich) style is Modelo Negra. And no matter what you say it is a Mexican Lager, period. There is a reason mexicans drink Modelo and Coronas lol.

But yeah I'm not a beer expert lol. I just drink random beers I like

Modelo is definitely brewed IN Mexico, and it is definitely a German Style Pilsner Lager beer. The beer was formulated in 1925 ... the Modelo group used German brewmasters to create a "model beer" of the German Pils profile ... hence the name "Modelo".

Almost like I made this thread years ago saying this league was dead.

And I don’t want any flowers. I’m not smart. It’s clear as ****. But hopefully now years later there is ZERO misunderstanding.

Stuff like this is why the Big12 and ACC better think twice before they snub their noses at the proposed offer to guarantee each league 2 spots in the next playoff format that the P2 will control. They play chicken and they might not even get that.

When you’re in a war that you’re losing, the longer you wait, the worst the deal gets.
 
As I said earlier, 1st round picks have a 46% chance of ever sniffing a pro bowl selection. Most NFL GM’s pick players with traits so if they are wrong they have an excuse. It’s less than an a coin flip.

What matters are not where players are drafted, but what they do when they enter the league.
Through December 2023 not one SEC team is in the top 5 of colleges producing Pro Bowlers in the NFL. UM is #4. And considering that UM wasn’t even relevant until the early 1980’s that’s pretty **** impressive.
Yes, it’s nice to have the 1st of 1, but it’s not the be all, end all.
The sky isn’t falling.

How many posts have we’ve seen saying NIL has leveled the playing field and caused the decline of the SEC including Bama etc from dropping bags of money, Then we read the sky is falling because only 2 ACC players were picked in the first round. It’s a contradiction in logic.
Yes, the ACC will fall on its own, but if they were to merge with the Big 12, ESPN and Fox would have to renegotiate. All UM has to do is win and the $$ will take care of itself.
