MEGA Conference Realignment and lawsuits Megathread: Stories, Tales, Lies, and Exaggerations

Exactly. We’re 1-3 in the last four cold weather bowl games we played and the win was a 1 pt win over a heavy dog Nevada.
We shouldn’t base our University’s future on Mario getting out tough and physicaled by Schiano because we didn’t have a QB that could throw a forward pass…

We’ll need to win games at Michigan, OSU, Oregon or PSU in the playoffs and not fold…

Lol Florida is out of conf either way and there’s actually not a game on the future schedule (through 2036 which is the latest year they show on most sites) so can’t lose what rarely happens

There is no way Miami fsu doesn’t get played. If they go SEC, Florida game becomes in conference annual and Miami becomes almost certainly annual out of conf Just flipping spots if Miami in turn is big OR stuck in acc
I wish I held your staunch optimism that there is no way Miami-FSU doesn't get played. There is no Bowden on the FSU side to guarantee the game would still be held annually and frankly, who knows if Miami would push for it as well if those circumstances arise?

I mean our QBs were Jacurri Brown and Malik Rosier in those two games lol. Were they just bad or was it the cold that made them bad? Considering both times we were 7-5 on the year, I'd say we were just bad already and the temperature would not have had anything to do with the outcome.
Perhaps. I just have my concerns.
I have 44 years invested in my Canes. I stopped following MLB years ago and the Dolphins left me when Steve Ross took ownership. They’re all I got and I care.

To be fair, I was older in boot than most, so it was equally annoying dealing with both genders :ROFLMAO:. There's so many disqualifying factors now and you can't even lie like you used to because the current medical systems they employ can access literally everything in your medical history. I think the statistic was that 80% of the age eligible citizens in this country don't qualify medically/psychologically for military service. There's probably not a high % of boys that can do 100 pushups out of HS these days. I've actually been fortunate to meet some prety solid female Sailors over the years; an EOD Senior Cheif who was one of the hardest MFs I've ever spoken with, male or female. Of course 95% of the Navy is how many qualifications you have and how well you do your job. Most commands' Op tempo don't even allow a robust fitness culture, something they've been try to figure out forever (at least that's what they've said). They really haven't been lowering standards over the years to accommodate females, it's that with recruiting/retention challenges, they can't afford to kick as many people out.
Agree and one of my favorite OIC’s at ESC at Kelly AFB was a woman. She was a former key turner in a Titan missile silo and I respected the **** out of her. But 90% of them, completely useless.

I hear ya on that. My Patriots, Bruins and Red Sox all appear to be in for rebuilding years so all I have left are my Canes and Celtics. Celtics did their part, now I just need the Canes to make the suffering worth it lol.

In a few hours, we'll all have the Titans too.

FYI. TitansInsight.com is available.

Much better than the ACC

Much worse then the SEC

It's possible we'd be the only Big Ten school located in the Southeast, at which point we'd be the P2 travel equivalent of the University of Hawaii in the Mountain West
Depending on which group, division, or pod, or whatever we’re in…..
4 or 5 away conference games a year. 2/ 3 will rotate with teams like PSU, MD, GT (?), ND, or Rutgers.
2 rotational with the other pods. Probably 1 west coast game every other year.

Remember, the Big East was no picnic travel wise in the 90’s when we were scheduling west coast teams, it seemed, every year…while still heading up to BC or Syracuse.
1990 we had Cal, SD St., BYU and ND on the road.
I don’t think BIG scheduling will approach that.

BC was 3-9 that year.
Again, I will ask the question.
When was the last time UM beat even a moderately good team in sub 32* or snow?

It doesn’t affect lineman or defenses much, it does effect QB’s and WR’s and affects RB’s and WR’s not used to running in snow.

How many times have you played football in snow? Just curious.

UM playing in snow games may happen every 3 or 4 years in the BIG when you consider the home/away rotation of late year games, whatever our (relatively) friendly geographical pod will be and USC/UCLA in the mix.
Back in 2020 the BIG was considering domed sites for late season games, so, who knows?

IF FSU goes SEC and we go Big10, that would mean FSU will play a 9 game SEC schedule and us?
No way.
I’ll bet you a case of good German beer that FSU will drop us by year two in the SEC.
I would be fine with a case of Modelo Especial ... legit German Style Pils. Latin America had a HUGE influx of German master brewers in the late 1930's.

Modelo is a good beer. I’m partial to the Modelo Negra.
Your on. I’ll take a case of Bitburger, available at most ABC or Total Wine. To keep similar price range, otherwise I’d go Weihenstephaner, Hacker Pshor or Tucher.

Sounds like a plan. Did have the opportunity to visit the Czech Republic a number of years ago and have some very fresh Pilsner Urquell. Very nice experience.

I mean it'd work out in the sense they'd just be swapping their Permanant In-Conference and Out-Conference opponnent between us an Florida. And it's also possible that because UF loses their Permanant out-Conference game we could be added to thiers as well.

The more this becomes about money maybe the more teams are going to want the high profile game with high attendance, especially when in-state.

Went to Prague about 6 years ago.
Took the slow train from Upper Austria through Budejovice where they make Budvar Pils, one of my favs and they served it in the train!
Had Pilsner Urquell on tap at several restaurants including one place that is in a 500 year old cellar. Awesome experience! Prague is one of the best big cities along with Munich for a beer lover. And everyone likes Americans in both cities and speak great English.

German Style? I would never refer to Modelo as anything but a Mexican Style Pilsner. Same with Corona and 805
