4 years. It’s as if we have a huge buyout if we intended to leave the conference. I have to say, most people are saying Miami played the last few years masterfully. FSU and Clemson tried being proactive and broke the bank. Now we are in prime position when this current agreement becomes affordable enough to break.

I thought there were exceptions made for the teams that were in the natty? Am I misremembering / misunderstanding from last year, or did that change now? Or did we just decide here that everything would be fine because Joe would obviously take care of Mensah’s classes if he wanted to be here, so we weren’t worried about Duke’s holdup with the contract?

Someone please explain. I’ve spent the past two days with my doctors and my brain is fried.

The exception is to lose players to enter portal. But regardless that doesn’t change the fact anyone wanting to portal out would Have to leave during a playoff run in order to enroll for Spring semester at their next program.

And are we even able to enroll players and go over scholarships during playoffs? Idk. I’d assume so…

Basically we’re gunna have to pay everyone bonuses during playoffs so they stay and don’t leave to enter portal during playoffs

They’re going to have to figure this out. No one wants teams being penalized for being successful.

LOL at that bull****. Those participants in revenue sports at the 10 schools that wisely bailed on the Pac-12 will get paid more in their new conferences while also competing in one of the two premier college leagues in terms of media coverage, fan support, facilities, etc. I believe they'd gladly acccept those benefits in exchange for a handful of longer plane trips during the course of the season

The "Pac-12" commissioner is just like Jim Phillips: Her two concerns are protecting her and her staff's jobs and looking out for the potential left-behinds like a Wake Forest.

In what world other than back-asswards College Sports Inc is it a negative when a person or an entity moves on up to a better neighborhood? Despite the hand-wringing, that's all this is

The population growth in the U.S. is south- southeast. Which is fertile land for the SEC. We need to end up where the growth is occurring, both population and financially. And again- who in the holy **** wants to play games “up north” in the colder months.

And for the “I don’t want to be in the Confederate Conference” dopes, go take a long look at the current ACC member schools and what state they reside in. We have been doing the Confederate thing for a while now. We even have the Confederate capital **** near represented in the ACC.

I live in Chicago area. It isn't that cold up here until January. And that's hit or miss now.

Yea Confederate Conference doesn't bother me, I just don't' think they want Miami.
