Flugauer today: "Clemson is 100 percent determined to get out of the ACC. Their board people (unlike FSU) aren't saying it in public, but the money people and the administrative people are saying it in silence."

Good ol Flugaur is reiterating stuff he read on @Genetics over the past months.

You'll find the same said here for Miami at least a few times....

Haven’t seen Genetics X in a long time
I signed up for Twitter just to follow Genetics and see what his position was day to day on realignment. He basically said a few weeks ago that he was taking a hiatus for the most part on realignment posts to focus on the season ... guy is a B10 fan (Nebraska specific). Besides his posts on realignment he has a "realignment community" thread going on Twitter and that is basically dormant until the season is over. His position hasn't changed ... the B10 will establish a Southern tier with select ACC programs. HIS preference is for FSU / Clemson / Miami / UNC for the most part but everything is up in the air as nobody has any idea what the SEC will actually do. FSU apparently does have their choice of the B10 and a large number of FSU fans and BOT prefer the Big to the SEC due to ESPN. He believes UM will end up in the B10 eventually. There are rumors of UNC wanting out as bad as FSU but just being more diplomatic openly. For "geographic reasons" there is a lot of SEC interest in UNC / UVA. Once the season is over Genetics56 will be most likely making daily realignment posts as things heat up again. The realignment discussions in the off season are more interesting than the games (UM) that we have been watching for the most part.

So basically we’re tied with Duke as a basketball school

Not sure how you got that from "Genetics believes that UM will end up in the B10 eventually". Timing and the media force ($$$) behind the P2 development will have a lot to do with the when part. So many unknowns. IF UNC does announce they are leaving to the SEC that will have a huge impact as they are "tobacco road royalty" in the ACC. IF they do announce they are leaving, and you have FSU/Clemson leaving there could still be enough programs leaving to dissolve the ACC and 8-10 teams bolt virtually eliminating the exit fee and voiding any GOR. Nobody knows how the details will play out.

I agree with some of the takes he has shared on Twitter; however, the guy is by far the biggest Big 10 homer I have ever seen. He is borderline delusional with certain things.

Big 10 conference is his passion. He apparently worked AT two Big 10 programs early in his career and has very solid contacts at high levels throughout the conference ... presidents, chancellors etc. and is wired in to a lot of behind the scenes discussions on a variety of topics regarding the conference. Brings some very solid points of view and generally couches his comments with rational caveats.

I’m not discrediting him (on certain things) but he still a homer.
