Ballsy move by a tax exempt hospital. I wouldn’t be thrilled if I donated to the hospital, presumably to further healthcare, and they gave it for college sports.

They will be able to schedule more elite brand matchups than the SEC in prime time national viewer slots and will also dominate in $$$ media payout. The Labor Day weekend matchup of FSU / LSU "is an example" of the games the B10 will be able to schedule and "a reason" that FSU needs to pick the B10". Miami picked a bad year to go 5-7 last year. Have to show significant improvement.

The death of the cable bundle won't affect just ESPN. The B10 might have spread their risk across three networks, but each of them will be hit hard. Unless these media companies figure out another revenue stream to replace the cable bundle (it won't be delivering the cable bundle over streaming broadband), media rights fees will be negatively impacted in the future.
