Wow. If the Big 12 goes to 20 teams, it will be interesting to see what (if any) effect it has on the ACC members voting to dissolve the league? Does it take away the potential landing spots for Louisville, Pitt, VT, etc? Does it make some of the "magnificent 7" teams change their stance (particular NC State & VT)?

Lol if the Big12 added the 4 Pac schools that would be a funny twist. Still don't think Stanford would want to do that. And don't know why anyone would offer ORSt and WSU $30M when they're literally about to get relegated to like $1M in a G5....

But the rumors are that ESPN wants Big12 to add them at either $21M (what they currently pay per member cause fox pays the other $11M) or full $32M...

Big 12 has been very aggressive recruiting schools. Would not be surprised if these Pac schools end up there. Good for them if they do.

Big question: How long is "eventually"? According to the rumors of the Big 12 adding the remaining PAC 4, ESPN is pushing the Big 12 in that direction, not the Big 12 doing it solely on its own volition. Is it beyond the realm of possibility that ESPN's strategy is to agree to full shares for the PAC 4 so the Big 12 deals with the logistics of bringing in 8 teams over the next couple of years instead of just 4 teams in order to fill slots the ACC teams with links to the Big 12 from using until the late '20's at least?

Exactly. That what concerns me. It could keep the ACC from imploding for at least a few more years as there would be no landing spots for those who would have Big 12 invites until that time has passed.

It could be a slow death for the ACC and painful for Miami.

That would be worst scenario since that could mean only 4-6 ACC schools would be coveted by B1G/SEC
