Lots of pros.

On the con side

1.[BGCOLOR=initial] Getting out of GOR would require extensive litigation[/BGCOLOR]

2. Guessing which acc teams have a home in other conferences, and assuming there are 8 teams that would vote to dissolve ACC, and that the teams without homes aren't going to do everything in their power to stop the other teams from leaving

3. Dissolving acc doesn't necessarily end GOR

4. Pride can be a *****. When Rad was Clemsons [BGCOLOR=initial]AD, he fully endorsed the 20 yr GOR deal and said it was "forward looking" and would keep the acc together. And that coming off Clemson playing in the national championship when their stock was sky high. Now he basically has two choices - he can either take the position that he endorsed a terrible deal and try to get UM out of it, or he can try to salvage it to protect his pride, in which case he'll likely push for the acc /Pac12 merger. I don't care if you have inside information or not, but your analytical skills are poor.

After months of toxic Mario hatred, you can't suddenly try to buy respect with a numerical list of things instead of your usual hate-rant.

Besides, your post is comically awful. "Hey, lots of pros, but I won't list any, I'm going to focus on cons". And then, while your first three items could possibly be relevant, you couldn't resist the urge to use point #4 to attack a UM employee, though it has NOTHING to do with being a "con" point about exiting the ACC.

Agreed.

I think F$U's payday loan is evidence that they are preparing to buy their way out, without using sovereign immunity. And Miami couldn't possibly make the argument either.

?????? What Pac?? There are only 4 teams left(Cal, Oregon State, Stanford, Washington State). The rest have already left, or announcing tomorrow, or trying to get into the B12.

Gone
-Colorado
-Oregon
-Washington
-USC
-UCLA
-Arizona (announced today)
-Arizona State (wants B12)
-Utah (wants B12)

As far as the GOR ... if the ACC is dissolved ... it makes it extremely difficult for ESPN to litigate against the likely 9-10 schools that will be in other conferences with any hope of success as the contract is with the ACC. Going to the B10 ... you go NOW not in 2-3 years.
 
I can’t stand whack a$$ wake Forrest and and the schools that want to hold us hostage in this terrible agreement.

If 8 schools got together and left at the same time how would that help us / what would that do?

Disney and ESPN need to be laying off, consolidating, and cutting waste. They appear to be ready to break the bank on CFB.

With these contrived cross-country matchups and employee players, CFB is turning into the NFL, but with far worse players, and recruiting.

In 10 years, the breadth and depth of interest in CFB will be lower than it is today.

I agree w the and NFL isnt gonna stop adding games to their non Sunday matchups. eventually, they'll be playing against the best CFB game and the NFL will win that ratings battle hands down
