The ACC really needs to pressure wake to drop their visit to boone. Wake is a scrub team that will not be contending for anything so hurting their schedule by adding some even lower regarded opponent than apple state will be of no consequence.

I know that is incredibly unlikely, but this is one of the things we should expect from our conference. Looking out for all the conference members.

"We haven't looked at videos or talked with anyone but a girl said she was assaulted on live coverage of ESPN" ESPN owns the rights to the footage that could prove or disprove the case. For once it would be nice to see the ACC slam ESPN for posting this type of crap. Sadly, the acc only looks out for UNC and duke. We should of jumped to a football conference vs trying to help make the acc one.

ACC is the redneck conference folks, they will never have Miami's back for nothing. The best thing to be is independent f being part of a conference which hurts scheduling who you really want to play. That is why ND has stayed independent in football.

LMFAO at any Miami fan thinking that independence would be anything but a death knell for the program. You realize how much independence would cripple our other sports, and we would struggle to fill our football schedules. The reason Miami joined the Big East was because of the fact that most of the other independent programs were joining conferences(Penn State, Pitt, Syracuse, etc.), making it borderline impossible for Miami to fill their schedule with top shelf competition. Economics dictate that Miami be part of a conference, and despite the problems with the leadership in Greensboro, the ACC is the best possible fit right now. Miami isn't getting into the SEC, the Big XII is a travel nightmare, and the American is a glorified midmajor conference, good luck getting people to care about that.

Accusing someone or something (the football team) of such serious allegations must have consequences when proven false. They dragged the program's name through the mud and now they should pay a penalty for it.

Agreed. I was hoping to have some constructive conversation about the matter, and did briefly, but it's turned into fourth grade humor and stereotypes. I understand why your base is heated, and if this does turn out to be false, don't judge our university based on one person's actions. Again, I think your fans can appreciate that. Enjoyed meeting some of you last weekend. Everyone I met was a class act, as is the case with the majority of our fans. I wish y'all luck moving forward.

Three very clear things....

1. Sophie Randelman is a social justice warrior looking for attention. At worst she was barely touched and is exaggerating the event and/or injury;

2. ESPN continues to hate Miami and report on the school in a baised fashion;

3. ESPN will deem the accused guilty immediately without evidence if it support their social justice agenda (i.e. rape, assault, discrimination)

It wasn't even her that was the supposed victim. She said she heard about how our players harassed and hit their colorguard and decided to blow it up. She should get kicked out of school for her actions. She didn't have any proof but decided to go public.

I like the being in the ACC. Its actually the best time to be in it as the conference is on the up while many are on a downward slope or remaining stagnant.

The only other conference on the up is the BIG 10. The SEC is 'Alabama and everyone else' for yet another year.

Ok so our players ran through their band and we probably bumped a few people accidentally while talking smack...My issue with it is that she takes a minor incident and throws in some bullsh!t third party hearsay about groping. That is unacceptable and uncalled for. It's one thing to complain about the disrespect or running into someone but to throw in that bullsh!t about our players ****es me off. Making groping and "touched in ways that were definitely not asked for" statements is implying sexual battery and throwing that kind of comment around based on hearsay is absolutely despicable and demeaning to true victims of sexual battery.

SEC is the redneck conference. ACC has a solid portion of its colleges in large/medium cities with elite educational schools. SEC schools other than Vanderbuilt aren't either except FL with education.

SEC is far more redneck. There is no dispute whatsoever!!

This is the biggest hangup for me. IF this part is true - that the BAND DIRECTOR "warned" the band that Miami is known for this behavior, he needs to be taken to task because either 1) he was making up rhetoric to scare his students or worse 2) he actually thought something might happen and did NOTHING to scheme around it by moving his students out of "harm's way."

If the director seriously thought ahead of time that his students might in any way be in danger from a visiting team's run-on - and did nothing to prevent it - that's horribly negligent.

Forget the color guard girl for a moment - whichever authority figure told these kids that Miami is KNOWN for knocking students down during their team entrance needs to be held accountable.
