Complaint against our players by AppState Color Guard

I'm not trying to sell you anything. It's common sense. This is not a conspiracy. This is not the actions of many. Just one. Generalizing a university, town, or state for one's actions is a sign of ignorance. You either see this or you don't.

I like your courage for coming in here.. I used to live in boone for a bit and really do enjoy it. ANd i like App State,...but this is just bad.. and the thing about it, is the shares on fb..there are like a thousand of them and a lot of them add rude hateful comments before the share..and these people are just all about accepting this as 100 percent truth for what reason? i do not know, but it is disturbing...wish the app state fans with common sense could look at the video and comment about how this appears to be bs, and they should apologize. As it is, once the official word of no wrongdoing comes down, we should all comment on these shares- in a classy way, but a way that sets the truth down.

Well, now that it has been well documented from different pictures and video angles that this incident didn't occur as described, App St. needs to publicly apologize and admit that there is no evidence to this fabrication.

I'd keep that letter about us being thugs and scum and read it to the players the next time we play them if we don't cancel. I think we could get 100.

app11, I applaud you for having a sac big enough to come over here and post. You surely had to realize what was in store. I've also been to your board and read posts where your own fan base states they saw nothing compared what was reported, second hand I might add. Your school admin. certainly should have interviewed the accusing parties before this started to get out of hand. You seem to know of our history and the fact that any negative reporting of the U gets magnified, scrutinized, & sensualized like no other. Any app posters that tread over hear will have to bear the brunt of a fan base that has been thru **** both sometimes warranted & many many times not. Hope you have some really thick skin!

A rape/sexual misconduct story wouldn't hurt Appalachian State as it would Miami. In terms of publicity, in terms of recruiting.

As we learned from the lesson of McCarthyism "You cannot strike the statements from the public record or from the public mind when it's planted there. That is the EVIL of it."

I can't remember the last time a Miami player, other than taking improper benefits got arrested for a criminal offense. Didn't Marve get a DUI in 2008? That's eight years.

You are right, we are not ready for the big stage. But it's not because the actions of this girl. I think she is making it up, as do most of my App friends.

The problem with this young lady's actions is that she may face no repercussions if it her claim turns out to be untrue. If the incident occurred, I would assume there would be some punishment for the player? What happens to her if it ends up being a fabrication? That's a real issue, and it diminishes legitimate claims when they are made in the future.

It will never happen but if there was justice in this world ,she would receive the same penalty as would be dealt out to those she is accusing.
