I see a lot of comments about Boone being a liberal, racist, hick town, in response to an individual's allegations. The people making these comments are as ignorant as someone the would make up this kind of story.

Appalachian and our fans were thrilled to have a program of your caliber come to Boone. I'm sure you had the pleasure of enduring a few of our fans talk trash on this board last week. Do they represent our entire fan base? No. Did our entire fansbase think we were going to win? No. If this girl is lying, does she represent our entire university? Of course not. So stop generalizing these situations.

If any fanbase should know about this, it would be yours. How many times has the actions of a few tainted the image of your proud university? How many times have you had to defend Miami to those that generalize it as Thug U? Don't be a hypocrite.

The truth will surface. Once it does the individual or individuals at fault will be punished. Let that process occur without painting a broad stroke.

That being said, every Miami fan I encountered on Saturday was respectful and conducted themselves with class. I will not let the words of some on this board change my opinion from this weekend.

Your band director referred to our players as THUGS before the game, and created a situation where it was impossible to get on the field.

Your color guard girl, rather than reporting anything, went straight to social media.

Your administration has complained to our AD, without even investigating.

You guys talked **** all week long about how you were going to beat us.

So **** App St, **** the racist inbred hillbillies of Boone, and **** your ****** football team. No major school will ever come to Boone again, and I hope we cancel the return game and replace you with someone else on your level, maybe Idaho St

I was told repeatedly today that Miami's team is notoriously scum, but that is no reason to sit back and let this happen. I can't even imagine how many other events similar to this one have occurred.

Good luck getting another P5 program to go there if stuff like this occurs. I will say I have never seen a program set the scene for players entering the field to have no path to access the field. It sets the stage for something like that to potentially happen. I think most of the Miami folks were excited to be a part of the build up for this game, but stuff like this, especially with the issues that we have been through over the years, it leaves a bitter taste in our mouths.

Anyone that doesn't see that this is a major implication, and on the surface seems like an extreme exaggeration at best, can see why App State is going to have a major problem going forward pulling in P5 teams to play there. From the size of the stadium, to the issues getting the team into the airports, transportation, lodging and such. Then This. And to boot, it becomes the lead story on ESPN NCAA football page.

Yeah, whether it become true or not, other P5 schools are going to probably turn away because of all the mess. It doesn't bode well for App State, no matter what the results are, mainly because they set the stage by being a High School league setup and not having the folks in place to organize an event of this size. They blew it.

The problem with this young lady's actions is that she may face no repercussions if it her claim turns out to be untrue. If the incident occurred, I would assume there would be some punishment for the player? What happens to her if it ends up being a fabrication? That's a real issue, and it diminishes legitimate claims when they are made in the future.
