Come on fellas, enough is enough....

And even better, rooting for losses and crying on this board does literally nothing. Not a single thing. Nobody is listening. Nobody cares. Miami just built a $35M facility for football, but sure, waste your time saying the same nonsense over and over on a free message board in hopes you’ll convince someone to cancel their upper deck season tickets hahahah. That’ll show em!!

Then what the **** does begging people to be positive do, dude?

Neither has any affect on how the team plays, clearly.

A couple years removed from back-to-back NC game appearances, People rooted for Coker's UM teams to lose, and once he started losing badly and ended the season an embarrassing 6-6, he was replaced by Shannon.
After some time watching Shannon burn bridges and mismanage games, people rooted for him to lose, and after going 7-5 and losing to USF, he was replaced by Golden.
After some time watching Golden take balloon-sized classes to pump ranking and balloon up our players, people rooted for him to lose, and after getting obliterated by Clemson, he was replaced by Richt.
After some time watching Richt's prehistoric offense, people started rooting for him to lose, after going 7-6 and getting beaten down by Wisconsin (again), rather than get fired Richt did UM a perceived favor and retired, and he was replaced by Diaz.
After half a season watching Diaz get out-coached by mediocre ACC coaches and appear clueless about the talent on his own team, people are starting to root for him to lose.

The recurring narrative that losing cures anything is consistently the dumbest **** spouted on this message board, and objectively false.

This is wayyyyyy more an indictment of pretty much a status quo mindset in hiring practices in Hecht than folly in our fanbase recognizing a lost cause quickly and wanting change sooner rather than later.

I don't believe there was a large swath of fans wanting Rick to lose and be fired though. They were just screaming for what they thought was a missing piece in an OC.

Nowadays that’s the same thing you will see at any college campus in America- Miami included- it’s a sign of the times we live in
I guess I'm officially an old cranky *******.

Can't we just root for our Canes this weekend and stop with the bull ******* **** negative threads. I get what y'all are saying, but Lord have mercy, it will not do any good this year or next. We have what we have for a couple years at least. It sucks, *****in' isn't going to make it change.
I used to like coming to this board and now it is getting miserable to stop in and see all the vitriol. Just root on our Canes and ride this **** season out and hope for better next years. And GTFOH with it won't get better. If that is your attitude, I feel sorry for you. Your life if probably miserable. I am a half full guy and like to look at the bright side of things, sorry.
Ok, you can continue with your miserable threads now.

GO CANES BEAT PITT!!!!

In case you haven't noticed, this negativity is the only way things starts changing. I don't think you realize how strong CIS influence is. The best **** sports site around. All of the beat writers come on here. BR reporters come on here. The Hecht come on here. Do you think it's any coincidence that some of the stuff we say gets posted on TOS mere days later? Any coincidence that people from the admin starts tweeting out stuff for damage control? Naw, the negativity needs to continue on, until change is made. No one should feel comfortable in their position running this program in to the ground. We are bleeding money due to their incompetence. We are a 2nd rate program....which do you think most of our games have been relegated to the ACC Network? We suck, and it's time for accountability to be had. The National Media is picking up on all of this. Change needs to be made, period.

This negativity got Golden fired, and had Richt second guessing himself. They want to be toxic in how they handle this program, then expect toxic responses from the fan base.

It is embarrassing, we are in a cycle of hoping to lose so our coaches get fired. Look at the SEC, no team does that like we do. How about we try a different approach and support the team and go to games. Maybe that would change the attitude of the team. We don't show up for samll games, they don't either.

Then what the **** does begging people to be positive do, dude?

Absolutely nothing. I’ve never once begged people to be positive. It’s just comical to me that people would waste their time posting the same things over and over and openly root against the program they claim to support when they have no voice, no influence, no ability to evoke a hint of a change and are so insignificant in the operation of the program that it’s hard to even comprehend.

But hey, if that’s what you choose to do, knock yourself out. I’ll just continue to hope you get hit by a car.

Oh my Christ. Dude. U still have time to delete this. You’re one of the smartest guys on this board. You can’t POSSIBLY believe any that to be true. Please tell me that I’m a ****** and you’re trolling.

lol these fools are gonna come back to this board tomorrow to gloat if Shanny somehow pulls an upset out of his ***, "SEE WE TOLD YOU"
Bull4$hit. No need for that. If we win great, Pitt is a decent team and probably better than us at the moment. So, if we win, nice job, if we lose, I hope to see improvement in red zone, tackling and Oline play. Simple as that. If I am not seeing improvement over this year and next, they let the powers that be fire Manny. I am giving him at least a chance to succeed. Maybe you should consider doing the same.

Not my first day. Been around the block since '82. How about you?
Moved to Miami in 74.

I was referring to the plethora of threads started by FNGs lately. It's refreshing to see a familiar name.

And yes, as bad as they are and as good as a loss would be to hasten the necessary change, I'll still be watching the game and rooting for a win.

On the first point, I do not disagree. But my point was more simple: rooting for UM to lose so that a corch can be fired has never cured the problem. Ever. And eventually leaves us right back where we started.

And where I will shake my head at the fanbase (but overall, people are showing improvement on this point) is the people whose blame stops at the corch, or even our AD.

On Richt, there was definitely a strong contingent saying Richt should be given the ultimatum of firing his son, hire a playcalling OC, or be fired. I admit the rooting-for-him-to-lose crowd was much smaller than it was for Shannon, Golden, or even Diaz, but if he'd have come back with his son and no OC, we both know a strong contingent of UM fans would be screaming for losses Game 1.

Whatever. Let's just keep firing coaches and that will make all thing great....said no successful team ever! Let that sink in MF'er.

It is just people who don’t really have a voice in society acting like bmoc. I would suggest just enjoying the Mr Big Chest attitude they ramp up. Fun really.

I think the anger at the state of the program is clouding your judgment here, fam, because I know you know better than this. We definitely suck, and it is 100% embarrassing. I said it at the time, I thought a "coaching search" to bring in Diaz with zero experience was an embarrassing farce. Though I foolishly bought into Diaz's hype and threw my support behind him as HC. It's clear as day to me that my initial, gut reaction was the correct one and he was a lazy hire by an AD/BOT who don't know their a$$holes from a hole in the ground.

But you know **** well that any "change" brought on by kicking subpar corches to the curb is short-term. You know this because you have seen it for the past 15+ years. Does ****ing and moaning publicly about the team actually change what the BOT and AD decide to do with the program? I honestly don't think so, but maybe you're right. But what can't be denied is the effect of any perceived "changes" created by the negative noise and losses over the past 15+ years. And that is jack ******* ****. At every turn, at every firing/retiring, this BOT/AD has responded the wrong way. Coker out, Shannon in. Shannon out, Golden in. Golden out, Richt in. Richt out, Diaz in. It's a vicious cycle.

Until the collective head of the snake is cut, it won't change (no matter how negative anyone is, or how many corches get fired).

I never root for a loss

but it should already be painfully obvious to everyone already that manny isnt the guy
