Come on fellas, enough is enough....

Can't we just root for our Canes this weekend and stop with the bull ******* **** negative threads. I get what y'all are saying, but Lord have mercy, it will not do any good this year or next. We have what we have for a couple years at least. It sucks, *****in' isn't going to make it change.
I used to like coming to this board and now it is getting miserable to stop in and see all the vitriol. Just root on our Canes and ride this **** season out and hope for better next years. And GTFOH with it won't get better. If that is your attitude, I feel sorry for you. Your life if probably miserable. I am a half full guy and like to look at the bright side of things, sorry.
Ok, you can continue with your miserable threads now.

GO CANES BEAT PITT!!!!

Let me ask how many games have you paid to go with airfare, hotel, tickets, arrive 5 hours before game. To only be embarrassed to realize what a waste of money.

A couple years removed from back-to-back NC game appearances, People rooted for Coker's UM teams to lose, and once he started losing badly and ended the season an embarrassing 6-6, he was replaced by Shannon.
After some time watching Shannon burn bridges and mismanage games, people rooted for him to lose, and after going 7-5 and losing to USF, he was replaced by Golden.
After some time watching Golden take balloon-sized classes to pump ranking and balloon up our players, people rooted for him to lose, and after getting obliterated by Clemson, he was replaced by Richt.
After some time watching Richt's prehistoric offense, people started rooting for him to lose, after going 7-6 and getting beaten down by Wisconsin (again), rather than get fired Richt did UM a perceived favor and retired, and he was replaced by Diaz.
After half a season watching Diaz get out-coached by mediocre ACC coaches and appear clueless about the talent on his own team, people are starting to root for him to lose.

The recurring narrative that losing cures anything is consistently the dumbest **** spouted on this message board, and objectively false.

What must be done eventually must be done immediately. Hire slow and fire fast. That’s business point blank.

OGs knew from Goldens first game showing that his style of ball wasn’t going to work. We gave up pass after pass in the flat to a team that ended the year with one win. The defense was the worst in program history for 4 out of 5 years during his tenure. He was never going to make a coordinator change. ****, he kept promoting interns to full time coaches bc he was a dead man walking. The writing was on the wall Year 1 game 1. But we had another *** as AD in Hocutt.

Richt had red flags early. 4 game losing streak year 1, but the Bowl win kept the pitch forks at bay. Year 2 we were very sloppy but lucked out last second wins and beat FSU which kept the pitchforks at bay yet again until we lost the final 3 games. All the good Will was burned up and he had a chance to hire a competent OC for year 3. You know the rest

Golden was never going to change.

Richt “retired” bc he wasn’t going to change.

Diaz has a chance to weather the storm and make some positive offseason hires. Changes that are desperately needed. But if Diaz is anything like the above coaches then he deserves to be rooted against. And if he’s out by the end of the year then that’s 4 years we won’t have to endure another stubborn coach who won’t make necessary changes.

My friend, you are lost. Probably never supported in your life when $hyt was down. I got ya.
It's not my fault that you would rather put your head in the sand during tough times than see things for what they are. That doesn't make you a fan, that makes you a cheerleader.

This guy here is a TRUE CANES FAN....

Thank you for reminding us what "fan" means.

I don’t care about other sites quoting this board. This board quotes other sites. I’m talking about you thinking what’s posted here influencing administration decisions at a major university’s highest levels. Come on man. This is a free message board that any Tom, ****, and Harry can sign up for in 15 seconds and say whatever they want. NO ONE in a professional setting takes a single character of what’s posted here seriously. You’re way smarter than this.
You really think there is no cause and effect when it comes to social media and business? In 2019?

I’m sure a lot of Canes fans are in the same boat as me... indifferent.

Yeah, I’m not rooting for us to lose... but I don’t expect to win any game except against Bethune. Both CMU and Virginia wins didn’t really even feel like wins to me... it’s been pathetic. And the loses have been horrific to watch such poor play. I think we lose tomorrow... so we’ll probably win like we did against Virginia and look bad doing it.

I have to say, tomorrow’s game is the one I’ve least looked forward to in at least 3 years.

Cheer me up Troy! Ha!

I think the anger at the state of the program is clouding your judgment here, fam, because I know you know better than this. We definitely suck, and it is 100% embarrassing. I said it at the time, I thought a "coaching search" to bring in Diaz with zero experience was an embarrassing farce. Though I foolishly bought into Diaz's hype and threw my support behind him as HC. It's clear as day to me that my initial, gut reaction was the correct one and he was a lazy hire by an AD/BOT who don't know their a$$holes from a hole in the ground.

But you know **** well that any "change" brought on by kicking subpar corches to the curb is short-term. You know this because you have seen it for the past 15+ years. Does ****ing and moaning publicly about the team actually change what the BOT and AD decide to do with the program? I honestly don't think so, but maybe you're right. But what can't be denied is the effect of any perceived "changes" created by the negative noise and losses over the past 15+ years. And that is jack ******* ****. At every turn, at every firing/retiring, this BOT/AD has responded the wrong way. Coker out, Shannon in. Shannon out, Golden in. Golden out, Richt in. Richt out, Diaz in. It's a vicious cycle.

Until the collective head of the snake is cut, it won't change (no matter how negative anyone is, or how many corches get fired).

Absolutely. Diaz is merely a pawn; the real change needs to be w/ the admin, period. Diaz can be fired tomorrow and it will do nothing. My post was directed towards the entire state of the program, not merely Diaz. We're operating like a 2nd tier program, and that's b/c those at the top have been 2nd rate. The focus really needs to be on them, not so much Diaz. The BOT hear the nose though. You can't say they don't. With Golden, Blake felt compelled to make a public statement. The noise became louder and the BOT made a move. With Richt, Blake felt compelled to make a public statement. The noise became louder, and it was rumored that the option was for him to make some changes to his offensive staff. Now, Blake has felt the need to make a public statement regarding Diaz......already. The noise is there, but the noise needs to be completely centered around certain members making football decisions.

Yep, positive threads can be good. I hereby "applaud" those that want change for the better so bad that they try to drum up revolt, fly banners, highlight the inanities and flaws, and otherwise show they won't settle for a sub-par product.

Time to end negative posts (and threads like this one) about concerned fans and folks that do this.

Whatever. Let's just keep firing coaches and that will make all thing great....said no successful team ever! Let that sink in MF'er.

I think you're misinterpreting my post. Diaz is not really my problem, he should've never been hired here, period. The top needs to change so we can have a program ran like a P5 program. So the negativity I'm referring to is regarding our dissatisfaction with how the entire program.

And ninja, we wouldn't have to keep firing incompetent coaches if we actually hired a competent coach. Let that sink in MF'er.

Excellent work Sir.

the worse this season gets for Diaz, the quicker they will be to pull the trigger and can him next season.

this man is a disaster, worst hire we have ever made here and he need to be shown the door as soon as possible. losing helps get us closer to that door.

once again too dense to even follow your own logic.

the issue wasnt that losing led us to firing a good coach. it led us to firing horrendous coaches. the PROBLEM is that we replace them with equally as horrible or in Diaz’s case WORSE coaches.

Not sure why this is so challenging for you Manure slurpers.

It is embarrassing, we are in a cycle of hoping to lose so our coaches get fired. Look at the SEC, no team does that like we do. How about we try a different approach and support the team and go to games. Maybe that would change the attitude of the team. We don't show up for samll games, they don't either.

Rah rahing the players isnt going to make Manny Diaz a seasoned, qualified, competent coach. I support our players 100%, and certainly more than you do, by demanding that they be given a coach worthy of this program, not some incompetent son of the BOTs friend.
