While Jedd Fisch seems to be their choice, it’s a good option, but not near the ceiling of Kiffin. Doesn’t have the recruiting pull or moxie of Kiffin on the trail.

Theyll be better but like nearly everyone else in the country, probably stuck in 7-9 win purgatory.

If Kiffin does not pick the Gators, the clear names to know at this point are Tulane’s Jon Sumrall and Washington’s Jedd Fisch. Ole Miss is prepared if Kiffin does not choose to stay in Oxford, beginning to hold conversations out of due diligence. Defensive coordinator Pete Golding and quarterbacks coach Joe Judge will both be names to know for the interim role.

If the Tigers don’t land Kiffin, look for a mix of names including Sumrall, Arizona State’s Kenny Dillingham and Louisville’s Jeff Brohm. Missouri’s Eli Drinkwitz was viewed as the top name to watch for LSU if Kiffin turned it down, but he announced a contract extension Thursday.
