I remember his one year with Randy. We thought he was calling a terrible defense, but has gone on to be pretty successful

He was put in a bad position, on a sinking ship with very poor HC and athletic administration. Otherwise,
look at the good defensive minds he has worked under. He is a classic example of being a good coach in a shtty situation.

He was his coach in Jacksonville. We trashed on him when he was here like 15 years ago...but, he's become a pretty good coach.

It would not bother me to have him on our staff. Solid recruiter who has sent his share of LBs to the NFL. Plus he has coached both sides of ball plus special teams.

Like Mario, Kirby needs to nail that hire. His previous hires Jim Chaney and James Coley weren't good at all.
