Coach Speak: Brown says Williams is "fine", details Gray's progress

I am a big Choc fan, but we must remember when our lead RB went down in 2017, Choc could not get on the field. Worst, we looked to a converted Freshman WR.

I trust that Choc has matured and developed ten fold. What a fantastic way to finish strong!

Butch Davis said before he got hurt, Davenport was the most talented RB on the team. This was a team of Edgerrin James, James Jackson, & Clinton Portis. Maybe Quadtrine Hill, another great versatile FB who was a great RB in his own right.
Portis and came the year EJ left they never played together

I'll never forget how much we were hyping him up once he finally got in and enrolled.

He then proceeds to rush for a TD on the very first carry of his career! I was like **** that's why we hyped him up.

Obviously, he hasn't accomplished much here but I think he'll show up BIG this year in a key spot to cement his legendary status
I think he will have a Davon Johnson type of senior season, but obviously on a much better team.

I think the move to fullback was the best thing for Gray. He just doesn't have the lateral quickness to be a running back. His speed is great in a straight line but no wiggle or change of direction ability. The Quadrine Hill comparison is fair. Both have good speed and are good athletes for their size. Neither is a true running back. Najeh was a true running back who played fullback just to get on the field. He wasn't drafted as a fullback either.
