Butch Davis is 17-11 at FIU. FIU had the lowest all time win % of any FBS program when he took over. Butch has actually done a pretty good job there.

Was Butch too old from 01-2016??....Was he too old as he kicked our teeth in while at UNC??....Lol....keep thinking Butch would've been the wrong hire all those yrs....Hows things been with STs....Player Development....Defense and a plethora of other issues??....FOH with your anti-Butch BS.....Bottomline is....he'd wipe his *** with Coker...Shannon...Golden...Richt and Diaz in regards on how to run a Major CFB team.

That’s unsung. We keep having cycles of really high attrition, such as this year where I think something like 30 guys graduated or otherwise left. People scoff when someone transfers, but it all adds up. Excluding four walk ons that Manny gave scholarships to, we are at 71 players this year. And two of those players are ineligible this year, so it’s just 69 before injuries are factored in. And we’ve been hovering near that mark for almost a decade!

It's so confusing that there are still Butch lovers on here. You would think he's got Fiu in the top 25 and has won his conference.

We need proven assistant coaches since we don't play the bag game. The problem is when we hit on an assistant coach they eventually get poached.

Can Butch do something with Fiu before y'all crown him as the savior?
 
The fact that our dumbass fanbase keeps harping about a "Miami Guy" is EXACTLY why this program will never win anything ever again. Well run programs don't have Mario Cristobal and Butch Davis on their wish lists, but Miami fans sure as **** do. It's almost like our fanbase doesn't know a **** thing about modern college football. Diaz was a "Miami Guy". Shannon was a "Miami Guy". Here's a bright idea: HIRE THE BEST COACH YOU CAN FIND WITH THE BUDGET YOU HAVE. You think Bill Clark at UAB would have a team with two weeks off look like this? You think even a nutcase like Mike Leach(Who I wouldn't want to hire) would be down 17-3 to this mediocre at best UNC squad?

Blake James should be fired the moment this season ends, because it's obvious that he failed with this hire. We can hope Diaz magically figures it out, but I doubt that he will. Good coaches, even young ones don't blow games to teams like this. UNC will struggle to be bowl eligible, there's a good chance they may end up with 5 wins. You just lost to that, in Week 2, with TWO WEEKS TO PREPARE. #TNM, the TO Chain, all that nonsense needs to end. It's a joke to talk this much noise and still come out and blow games to garbage. Shameful.

Some of you guys are effing high.

Butch is gone, and should be gone.

We have lost 2 games in a row, yet with the lead mid 4th.

Close out the effing game.

Our team is not bad. Our QB progressed immensely. Special teams though, is special.

Our D should have held it down. Mack played and pushed the run in the 4th.

Only to burn our Whole secondary. Our boys need to learn the little things back there....

Team has plenty of talent. We play green, look green.
 
We hired a guy that has never been a head coach and never played football. He come up through editing highlight videos. But somehow he lands a P5 head coaching gig? This isn’t too far off from hiring a competitive Madden gamer.

Blake James should be fired for not even engaging in a hiring process.

This same guy that you and a good amount of our fans think is some kind of savior has coached 13 years in college football. In that time he has won more than 9 games 1 time. 1 time. People are still clamoring for an old coach with a 59.7 win percentage.

Thats not the point...Point is...we F-ed up letting him go..and then not rehiring him from 2007-2015...Thats 100% fact...as you have seen with player development and evaluations the past 15yrs..

That kid from Buffalo has more heart than 80% of the team. That one play where he caught the ball and went out of bounds and the ref was clamoring for the ball, and Osborn acted like he was gonna give him the ball but instead went around his waste and then flipped the ball way away from him was the best Miami play of the night. I like that kid.

You realize that a lot of **** good coaches aren't players, and climbed up through the ranks like Diaz, right? Mike Leach wasn't some muscle head jock, same with Lincoln Riley, albeit Riley was a walk on in college. Coaches now are more analytical than the old guys, but they can also figure simple crap out. It isn't how Diaz came up that is the problem, it's that Miami shouldn't have settled for this guy without doing a single outside interview. For the first time in decades, Miami had the pick of the litter and the budget to at least make a legit run at guys and chose to pick Diaz. Could Diaz turn this around? Maybe, but it's hard to think that a guy that spends this much time BSing on social media can be anything special.
